Low quality hinges
The hinges are not of high quality. They have a lot of play in them, which is not consistent with the seats that came with the toilets. I expected them to be tighter and not rattle so much!

A good seat.
Ordered this toilet seat a few months ago. Ordering and delivery were as advertised. Happy with the seat. Color match is perfect. This is a plastic type seat and is somewhat thin but it does the job well.

Reverse Progress
This seat used to offer BOTH quick release tabs AND soft closure. Now, inexplicably, you can only get one or the other. Very disappointing.

Quick Release is an extremely poor design
The number one complaint about toilet seats has to be that the latch cover keeps popping off and exposes the mechanics. This cover uses a pin head sized nipple made of plastic that is supposed to pop into a hole and stay in place. NOW this engineer comes along and says *hey, let’s use this flimsy set up to hold up to 300 pounds from sliding onto the floor*. This seat only works if you sit all prim and proper while taking a dump.
Stupidest idea Kohler ever came up with, just to more easily clean that 1/16” of an inch under the seat back.
