was okay when we bought it
our rider does most of our yard. We only use this mower for clean up where the rider can't go. usually takes 45 minutes to push mow, and this usually has 3 bars left after we mow. so it's great for what we need it for. the reason I can't recommend this mower to anyone is because if you damage this mower in any way, it becomes trash because the only spare parts available are blades we stopped mowing to help a neighbor move some things and while we were gone a piece of lumber fell on the mower and pinned it to the golf cart, locked the throttle and wore one of the drive wheels in half. we found out then that there are no parts available for this mower

Cordless mover
I read the reviews and the only thing anyone expressed anything negative about this mower was how short the battery run times are. So, I bought one anyhow. this mower has been great. For the Battery Life, I've found that to let the battery sit a bit then recharge it and then when fully charged just sit it aside and not leave it in the charging unit. This I found has given me more mowing time and better results with the mower. Never try to recharge the battery as soon as it's goes dead in the mower. It needs to cool down so just give it awhile to cool down before charging. This mower is convenient to own and operate and the battery can be used in the other equipment I have as well.

Returned for same unit again
First I’ve been “thinking” about getting an electric mower for a few years now but skeptical. So I finally bought this kobalt since even the lower of the 2 was brushless. The first two mows I had all my surrounding neighbors over asking Qs and excited as I was. Super light weight, very quiet, easy to use. The 3rd time mowing, once in the back the mower stopped working. Charged the battery and tried again and it would only turn on with handle at the highest of the 3 levels. But when the blade would barely touch the grass it would automatically shut off. We tried for several days before returning for the same unit. I chose to try again because of how great it did work. Also the storage for the unit is awesome!

The battery seems to last longer than expected.
This is my first battery powered mower, and I couldn’t be more pleased. I just moved into a new house May31st, and the grass hadn’t been mowed yet this spring. I was able to easily adjust the cutting height to the highest setting - to avoid damaging the tall grass - and the mower sailed through the workout. I used it for about 45 minutes, and the battery power indicator had only lost one of the three stars! I used it again a few days later with a closer cut - and it still shows two lit power indicators! The mower slowed a bit when going through thicker grass, but I just slowed down a bit and it was fine. All in all, a great experience. Highly recommend this mower.

Great Lawn Mower!!!
I bought this lawn mower for my house and the battery lasts for the entire front back and side yard of my quarter acre lot with battery life still left over. I also started mowing yards on the side and typically can get a property and a half done with this battery and the 4ah battery I got with my Kobalt weed eater. I will be upgrading to an E GO since I’m cutting a lot of yards. The con on this lawn mower is that the battery takes 2.5-3 hours to charge to full. If you are just needing a good quality mower for one yard. This is a great mower. Leaves great lines in the yard and has a good range of grass height!

Never going back to gas.
Mower is hands down better than your expecting. Both in power and battery life. So much quieter, easier and cleaner than gas. I use it to mow the parts of my property I can’t get to with the riding mower. And it is handling all kinds of things (much rougher stuff than a typical suburban lawn) with half the effort of my similarly priced gas mower. Years ago if you wanted a battery mower you absolutely had to make sacrifices in either length of mow time or cutting power. Not anymore. It also being light enough to carry (it folds up!) makes storage way more practical.

Works great! Get one - you won’t regret it!
I was on the fence about going with a battery operated mower but this was a pleasant surprise. I heard great feedback from friends so I decided to get one myself. I love that this mower is lightweight, not very loud, and folds up for storage. It cuts well, is easy to push (I have a flat yard), and is super simple to operate. The button is so much better than having to pull a string. I don’t have to store a gas can and lug gas around either. Just charge the battery between uses and get mowing. My yard is less than 1/10 of an acre so one battery is more than sufficient for me but bigger yards will need more batteries (and potentially the self propelled version). I’m very happy with my purchase and glad I got one! I always loved Kobalt and look forward to getting the blower and weed eater as well.

NO power if you have thick lawn
The lawnmower itself was easy to assemble, light weight and rather nice looking machine, however no power. It kept stalling when trying to use the mulching on very thin grass. I also have very thick St Augustine grass that I didn't even attempt to try on. When removing the mulching tool, I was able to keep this mower running a little longer but then, the trimming catch bag is perforated and these small clippings would blow dirt and other fine pieces right up into my face. I decided to roll up my sleeves and fix my old trusty rusty gas mower. 1000x more power for the tough back lawn.
