Description

This circular saw is part of Kobalt's most powerful line of power tools, Kobalt 24 V Max XTR. It's designed with a brushless motor that delivers up to 50% extra performance and power to help you complete the most demanding jobs in a timely manner. This saw can cut at a depth of 2 1/2 in at 90 degrees and with a 0-56 degree bevel angle for more versatility. It also features an electric brake that stops blade rotation when the trigger is released for added safety, as well as a built-in LED work light to illuminate darker areas. It's fully compatible with the Kobalt 24-Volt Max system (battery and charger sold separately) and backed by a 5-year limited warranty. Tool only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by metromechanic from Fantastic Addition to My tools This cordless saw is awesome. it is larger than most battery operated saws, being 7 1/4". This means that there are way more blade variety available. This is also what I call a Left handed saw, just like most corded saws. This is actually an advantage for this right handed Craftsman, when I am using the included fence, or ripping. My other brand saw is only a 6 1/2" so this completes the needs when a larger blade, or a different style blade is needed. Small jobs, a small saw is good, but when you need it for larger jobs, this is the better choice. The new lower price, fence included, hard case, etc made this a fantastic purchase.

I needed a new saw for light projects and occasional bigger jobs. The fact it comes with a hard case is a plus,soft bags are a real pain to try and store,hard case protects the saw and stores the battery and charger and a few spare blades. The rafter hook is a nice extra,if it is flipped to the right it holds the safety switch to allow one to just focus on the cut. The power to weight is about on par with a cord minus the death trap cord. Well worth the investment in the Kobalt 24 volt platform. A nice suprise was it in cludes a rip guide,one accessory that is much needed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nick from Portable and powerful I used the previous 24 volt model, this is a big step up. Most notably the power, I have used it for both cutting lumber and cutting wooden piles in half. Absolutely eats through everything Ive used it on. Older model pinched and stopped constantly. I highly recommend investing in the 6 amp battery for this tool. Gives the best performance and longest life. 4 amps work just fine too, but you wont get a full day out of one. Nice feature with the locking angle guide. Its got great bulk which I like as well. Helps to lock it into a cut line. Case is solid, has a spot for the strip cut guide, a battery (holds a 6 amp perfectly), and has room leftover for PPE. Highly recommend. Just invest in at least one of the larger 6 amp batteries. You wont regret it for all of your 24 volt tools.

Rated 5 out of 5 by inlandjetstream from Quality Product This circular saw has performed flawlessly so far. It's first task was to rip 10 sheets of 3/4" OSB and 4 sheets of 2/3" plywood. The blade that came with the saw made smooth cuts, the saw has plenty of power, didn't even get warm, and the battery meter on the large 4AH battery only went down one bar (to 80%). After the battery sat for 15 minutes, it went back up to full bars. I have yet to run one battery down on a single task. I also upgraded my drill and impact to the same Kobalt 24V Max line and I'm amazed at the power difference over other top brand's older 18v tools that I'm replacing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RoyMd from Kobalt Cordless the product of choice by my family Let me first say this is my fourth Kobalt cordless tool and I have found them to be reliable and extremely convenient being that they are battery-driven and a big time saver no electric cord to plug in or to trip over. And I wish I had it on my just finished deck project, but I'm looking forward to using it in all my upcoming household projects. I did test it to cut 4x6 pressure treated wood left over from the deck and it cut it like butter. I had previously borrowed a neighbor's corded saw, and like I said before this would have saved a lot of time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bill from great saw great saw a little pricey but didn't realize it came with a very nice case case has spots for a batter and a charger i like the fact that it has a hook up for a shop vac for less of a mess but no it does not come with a battery or charger and what a lot of people dont understand is when you buy power tools like these if you buy single pieces they don't come with battery or charger I started off with the 4 piece set which came with a battery and charger then bought more batteries but the saw is well worth the price

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mick from Decent Saw For weekend DIYer, this is a better than average saw. It's well balanced and easy to control. It has a very nice carrying case. The only issue with the case is it doesn't hold the battery very well (you put it in, close the lid and when you move around the battery falls out of its place) and you can't close the case with the battery still attached to the saw. This is my second saw. The first one died after less than one hours use. I returned it and received the second one. If this one holds up, as it should, I'd change my star from 4 to 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BAintheBORO from Early Review- Great battery-powered saw I have only used this once, but there are some noticeably nice features: 1. It’s very quiet. 2. The safety quick stop break is comforting. (Might only lose one finger, but seriously it’s nice.) 3. The cut is very clean. 4. Several features: being able to control blade depth, bevel cutting options, a rip guide (which guides your cut to the side of the board and helps make a long, consistent cut). 5. Comes in a very nice box for storage I’ve had a standard, corded saw and really don’t plan to go back to using it. The bevel cut option is really nice. I haven’t used the blade depth feature but can see where it would be useful. Nice LED light. Easy markings to guide your cut. My overall first review is I am very impressed with the saw. I will try to comment later on battery life after more usage.
