Description

This portable vacuum has a powerful motor that produces air volume of up to 50 CFM and a water lift of 38 in. It also comes with a few useful accessories: a 7 ft hose (1 1/4 in diameter), a crevice tool, a floor tool, as well as a washable H13 HEPA filter. This high-efficiency washable HEPA filter traps 99.7% of dust particles as fine as 0.3 microns. This vacuum also features easy-open latches on the bottom debris and water canister, as well as a convenient top compartment. It's compatible with all Kobalt 24-volt Max batteries (sold separately). An additional replacement filter may be purchased separately. Backed by a 5-year limited warranty. Tool only.

I bought this little vac primarily for job site clean-up. Now that I own it, I'm seeing the other things it's good at as a cordless vac. Stairs, Baseboards, ceiling fans, above kitchen cabinets,car vac, removing air from inflatable rafts for the beach, getting sand out of the tent when camping, removing excess water from your pet after giving them a bath. It also has the ability to become a blower when you connect it to the exhaust port. The filter is a rinse and reuse type. It light weight and a must have for me now!!!! Don't forget the 5 year replacement warranty.

Plenty of power for cleaning up around the garage/shop. Also perfect for car vacuuming . I run it on the 4AH battery and it's easily lasted through my clean-up tasks. I dropped a star only because the included attachments are so minimal. I added my own brush and wand attachments for now. It would have been nice for Kobalt to include more items, even if you couldn't store them internally. The "universal" 1 1/4 inch attachments that I bought, work well with this.

I was going to use the vacuum to clean around the boat (I have kids that love snacks and leave crumbs). Not only did I use it to vacuum the boat, I also used it to suck water out of the bilge that the bilge pump cannot reach. This vac will pick up 3 gallons of water in about 20 seconds while the vac is 2 feet above the water line. It is impressive. It compares to the Milwaukee but for much less $. If you get it, you won't regret the decision!

I also use the vac on tasks around the house - clean out the car, clean up the stairs and under cabinets. This vac can also draw in jet line through the electrical conduits for pulling in long runs where a fish tape isn't long enough (over 240 feet). I think with the 6 amp hour battery it could just go, go and go. I found that the size of the included hose fits common household vac attachments from old burned up upright vacs. I store the extra attachments in the collection area around the hepa filter. The quick release buckles are just awesome. Great product and a great line of cordless tools, I own almost all of them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jason from terrible we bought the package deal because I don't have anything kolbolt battery operated so we got batteries and charger along with the vacuum to do our new car get it home charge the battery and try it out flips on and then shuts off with the 2.0ah battery flip the switch off and try it again same thing sometimes it won't even turn on then when I can get it to work it works fine but then I thought maybe the 4.0ah battery would be better and it's even worse it sounds like the motor is get choked by something revving up and down not even enough to vacuum I took it back to the retailer and was refunded and tried another one and the same thing is happening once again

Perfect size for small jobs, cleaning out your car, ect. Packs away nicely, and had decent suction. Suction not as good as my full size shop vac, as to be expected. Tried vacuuming up some bathroom demo and it struggled a little to pick up some pieces of mortar larger than a bottle cap using the floor attachment. Just using the hose was sufficient. Have been using my 2.0 amp/hr battery for about 30 minutes and it has taken 2 ticks off the battery gauge. If using continuously I would suggest the 4.0 or 6.0 amp/hr battery. Storing hose and the two attachments it comes with is very nice under the lid, but if you want any additional attachments, those will have to be stored elsewhere, as there is no room under the lid. Overall happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Irvine from High quality build, very power hungry. The first thing That caught my attention was the quality of the hose. Its got a sort of weighty rigidness to it, yet it stretches and flexes smoothly, almost like a Slinky that doesn't get tangled.Sometimes large debris can get caught in it, Just hold the hose strait up out stretched with the top hatch open. and wiggle it a bit while its running and it'll clear right out. I've also found I can easily unlatch one side of the container and tilt it open and toss in large things I can't vacuum up, then easly relatch it and continue vacuuming. This thing eats batteries in my experience. I read a review saying they could use it for 30 min on the 2 Ah battery, but in my experience the most sustained run time I could get from the 2 Ah was about 10 minutes. It won't even operate with the 1.5 Ah, it just powers up then shuts off with a full charge. I feel you really need to have the 4 Ah or 6 Ah battery with this tool. I personally keep a 6 Ah in mine.

Have used it to clean out my car, work van, some job site clean ups, absolutely a must have. I highly recommend getting the 6 ah battery for this as it's power hungry. Have used it straight for over 30 minutes without any issue, probably could get close to 45 minutes. Haven't used it for any water though. One thing I'd like to see different with this shop vac is to have an actual wet filter for it as the one filter that comes with it does both dry and wet pick up. I guess two things, I'd like to see is to be able to buy replacement filters. Called Kobalt and even the tech support was shocked to see no replacement filters were offered. Other then that, absolutely great shop vac.
