This 6-burner commercial-style gas cooktop from KitchenAid(R) has two 20,000 BTU Ultra Power(TM) dual-flame burners that give you precise control of powerful highs, steady lows and the wide range of temperatures in between. The versatile, dual-flame design lets you sear, sauté, simmer and sizzle, all on the same burner. The 5,000 BTU simmer and melt burner with a low flame sized for small saucepans lets you reach and maintain low temperatures, so you can simmer sauces until they look, feel and taste just right and even melt delicate ingredients. The cooktop is also equipped with three-level convertible grates with removable inserts. Leave the insert level for high-heat searing and sautéing, flip it over to lift your pan above the flame to simmer and melt, or remove it to nestle a round-bottom wok in the flame. Additionally, three 15,000 BTU burners deliver the high heat you need for successful searing, sautéing, stir-frying and quickly bringing large stock pots to a rolling boil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AdamMI from Great Commercial-Style Gas Rangetop [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this as part of a Kitchen Aid kitchen for new construction. Extremely high quality grates and nice burners with a wide array of adjustments. The igniters are ok and we'll have to see how they stand up with time. Knobs and other external components are nice and function smoothly. A dream to cook on for those who are used to high grade commercial setups. It's not quite "commercial" with respect to the flames and burners but it is still pretty nice and at a reasonable price point. A minor drawback are that the knobs can be bumped slightly into the "on" position resulting in gas but no spark.

Rated 4 out of 5 by new home cook from Haven't Used Yet--Concerned We haven't even closed on our newly built home, and when I came in to check on the house while the cleaning folks were in, one of the burners we're on. I agree with the other reviews on this website that the knobs are WAY too easy to turn on the gas. A simple brush against the knob and the fires comes on. This is very concerning...I will add a review later after we use it for a while. My recommendation is that Kitchenaid issue a service bulletin to correct this issue so that the knobs do not turn so easily (i.e. a push in and turn would be nice).

Of course it required cabinet and granite modifications but it was worth every penny. I did also look at the Wolf but in the end, wasn’t worth the extra money. First time I used this it was incredible. Night and day from the cooktop. It looks great online but even better in person. So glad I went with this

BUT, I have a 18 month old and she can easily turn the knobs to turn on the gas and/or fire. Also, if you bump the knobs, it's really easy to turn on a burner unintentionally. That is the ONLY flaw of this range!!! If there is a fix for the easy turning knobs, please let me know. RT

Rated 1 out of 5 by DHYAkron from NO Burner Grate or Cap I purchased this unit back in Oct 2019 and I still don't have a Burner Grate or Cap - meaning.... I built a new home and put this unit in it. So, I have a NEW House, NEW kitchen and a new 6-Burner commercial range top that I can't use - AND now - they are saying that maybe it will be in sometime in April. Couldn't be happier. Good luck to you if you purchase this. Hopefully you get the grate and burner caps -

I have had about 6 explosions also when using burner from left side. Service no good enough today I was lucky enough to film video already send to Mexico.. Mexico is not solving my problem and USA either since the cooktop was sell in Mexico; No matter that it was built by USA according to kitchen aid live chat

Having 6 burners to work with simplifies the entire cooking process. The burners ignite immediately every time and heat efficiently and quickly. Controlling the temperature is very responsive with the smooth rotation of the burner knobs. However, the only caveat is that the burners can be activated very easy so parents with kids use caution. Clean up after cooking is simple and quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Macias from Excellent features I got my 36” with a grill in the center. I had that option. I lost 2 burners, but that was ok! WE LOVE IT! And use it, even the grill. Was an excellent purchase and would do it again if I had to. Cleaning the grill was a challenge the first time, but now is much easier. One issue is that once in a while, if I am using the front burner ( the high heat one) and place it on very low heat, because I finished and want to keep it warm I get a snapping sound from the rear burner, like the igniter wants to light the back burner, and it gets annoying! Can you help?
