Can this be hung on a sloped ceiling? 2 questions have been asked on this and one answer was a yes and one was a no? does it come with the slope plate?
Absolutely, we have a twenty foot slanted ceiling and we just had to take one chain link out to make the light level above table. It comes with a plate and a chain on both sides inside plate. Like I said just remove links on one side of chain and it will be fine. It’s a beautiful light!! Hope this helps

Can this be reconfigured to have the bulbs and glass globe face downwards instead of it facing up?
No, I don’t believe so. I can’t see that that would work.

can this fixture be hung on a slanted ceiling
Yes it can, mine is hung on a cathedral ceiling parallel to the light base.

Can you not use the threaded pipe and just attached the fixed loop to the coupler and chains to raise it up. I only have 8ft ceiling and i want to raise it up above an island so it's not low hanging eye level.
I installed mine on an 8' foot ceiling above a kitchen centre island. I used one chain link to attach the pipe to the ceiling plate. It turned out good.

Can I not use the chain at all? (ie., can I use only the frame and two metal rods?). Anyone know what that length would be? I’m trying to keep it up higher.
You can take most of it off yes, I bought this for my nephew and his wife. They had to make it shorter for their dining room. I don’t know the length after he took out most of the links but it looks beautiful. Hope that helps.

Can you hang the lights upside down so they face down towards the counter top? This would help immensely to make food prep easier with brighter lighting.
Not sure how you would do so. The chain is suspended from the top. I don’t believe you could reverse it.

Amazing Light - with a few tweaks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, this is a GORGEOUS chandelier! Out of the box, it doesn't give off hardly any light, very dim BUT that's an EASY fix! If you are planning to use it over a dining room table or to be the main source of light for a room, just buy some LED Edison bulbs - sold at Walmart and on Amazon! Only other semi-Con is that installation is kind of a pain.
Just keep these things in mind when purchasing. My reaction when using the bulbs provided was that it was definitely not going to work, but thankfully the LED Edison Bulbs perfected this light.
Highly recommend and now planning to purchase the matching Pot Hanger as well!

stylish, looks better in person but very dim light
Beautifully matches our decor and is simply lovely. It took a bit longer to assemble than we expected due to the spacer and cover parts around the light bulbs, but not a big deal. What could be a big deal for someone is the low volume of light. We were prepared after readng the box and doing the math on the wattage and lumens and decided it was worth it to have such a beautiful fixture. However, don't use this as your only light source if you plan to read, play games, craft, etc under it.

Great looking light!
My wife loves this light; it looks great in our room and has received many compliments. I would make sure this is not your primary source of light if you use your space for more than eating, as the lights are a little dim, but it offers a romantic atmosphere for eating. We have it hooked up to a dimmer switch and it works great. See the pictures for it on by itself and then with other lights on. The light is a little pricey ($299), but we love it.

Dim Lighting & hangs uneven but great rustic look
I bought almost the entire Barrington family of fixtures when we remodeled. This was the most expensive of the Barrington family and we bought it for our dining room. I am disappointed in the fact that it does not hang square and even. We have done a lot of adjusting to get it as best as we can, but if you look at the construction of the parts, it was not built square. $300 was one of the most expensive light fixtures at Lowes, so I really wish it would hang both square and plum. It hangs above our dining room table , so for eating it provides enough light, but for board game night it is hard to see what you are doing and is very disappointing. The best thing it has going for it is its great rustic look.

Very Attractive Chandelier!
You can spend $50 on a chandelier, you can spend $2K on a chandelier. Trying to decide where you find "value" in a purchase like this isn't easy. After having this chandelier up for a couple of weeks, I feel that it is priced right, and with the quality of materials and stunning looks, I feel it was a great purchase. It installs very easily (not much work to do), and as mentioned, it looks amazing.
I know others have mentioned there is a bit of a shadow effect which we to noticed (the lights are pointing up afterall), but you don't notice it after the first glance. I actually find the lights firing up and not directly down at you to be easier on the eyes.
Other reviews have also mentioned this is a dim light, and shouldn't be the only source of light for a room. I will agree with these reviews, but this chandelier was never designed to make a room bright.. It comes with Edison bulbs which provide a dimmer, yet cool looking retro look. I did purchase much brighter LED Edison style bulbs to see how it would look with a brighter bulb, and with that configuration, it lights up a room just fine. Ultimately, we went back to the original bulbs though, it just looks neater and the amount of light we get is adequate for our room, but just know there is options to go brighter and keep the neat bulb look if you wish.
I did have a problem with the glass bulb covers and when I contacted Kichler, they immediately sent me 3 perfect replacements, no questions asked.. You can't beat that for amazing customer service!!!
So if you are looking for something a little different, great value, quality materials, amazing looks, and awesome customer service if ever needed, this is a slam dunk!

Looks great, but too dim
I wish I had read the reviews and realized how dim this light would be. I also should have realized that three, 60W light bulbs were never going to really light a room adequately. My solution has been to order low wattage LED bulbs - they make them in Edison style now! - and swap them out for the bulbs that came included. Aesthetically, this is a beautiful light fixture.

Love Love!
I've been searching literally 1yr for the perfect dining room fixture as I have a Spanish style theme. It was love at 1st site. Brought it home and it was very sturdy and my family loved it. Just wished it wasn't as expensive($300)
But as my mother says (if you love something that much it must be purchased) so I did.
It can hang long as links are included or without as I did because my ceiling isn't as high.
