Description

The "KERALASTIC" Premium Mortar System is ideal for difficult-to-bond natural stone, large porcelain and glass-bodied tiles. A unique polymer additive designed to be used with "KERABOND" dry-set mortar for increased bond strength, improved vibration and impact resistance and to provide freeze/thaw resistance. For interior and exterior installation. Meets ANSI A118.4 when mixed with "KERABOND". 7.56 L.

Enhances bond strength, flexural strength, elongation and freeze/thaw durability
To ensure proper flexibility, always use a latex additive when using a dry-set mortar for applications over plywood and for setting non vitreous tiles Keralastic meets or exceeds ANSI A118.4 and ANSI A118.11 requirements when mixed with Kerabond

Hi, not sure when you asked your question of if you got an answer but I just called Mapei and the Keralastic is all that is needed there should be no additional water added. The jug is added to a bag of Kerabond mortar. Hope that helps.

Does this product expands on joints, so as not to cause a crack on natural stones if layered over concrete?

Yes, it does expands. I use this component in Mapei Elastorapid imported from Europe, but it is essentially the same thing. Mixed with kerabond cement it gives you best flexibility and freeze thaw properties you can have. There is nothing better on the market.
