Keracaulk is not for areas with exposure to water
I wish that the people who work at RONA would know that KERACAULK U is not for places with water exposure. Yes, even though there is a picture of a tub on the KERACAUL-U product, it is not meant for a tub or shower that will have water on it daily. Instead, MAPESIL-T is the product that is needed, and RONA doesn't carry it. Instead of telling you that, though, the staff at RONA recommend the wrong product. In fact, RONA does not have in stock any kitchen/bathroom 100% silicone caulking that is colour matched to tiles/grout, they only have these in clear, white and light grey. For other colours, like black, they only have outdoor silicone, or the keracaul u which is NOT RECOMMENDED by the manufacturer to be used in wet areas, it even says so in fine print on the container "not for areas with constant water exposure".

Overpriced and shrinks pretty bad
Overall, I'd have to say that I would recommend trying a color matched caulk from your local tile store that is not Mapei brand. Plenty of other companies make color matched caulks for Mapei grouts. This stuff shrunk back so much that I'll have to reapply. What a pain.

Hopefully this helps a few people
Before you use this product there is a few things to take into consideration.
1. Nocaulking (latex or silicone based) is meant for wet applications. The area needs to be COMPLETELY DRY before you put your bead down. It will not stick to non dry surfaces. Most caulking needs weeks to fully cure and you shouldn't allow any water to come in contact with the caulking until then. Wait a minimum of 48 hours before showering and make sure you don't allow any pooling or water to sit in the joint until it fully cures.
2. It's only meant for 1/4 inch gaps. Just because you only see a gap of a quarter inch doesn't mean it's not much larger. Chances are you have installed 3/8 to half inch tile or 8mm - 14mm laminate. If you add your mortar and pad then you are looking at an actual half inch gap from the floor to the surface level of the product. People are complaining about shrinkage, well they are actually only filling 50% (give or take) of the gap. You need to fill to just below the surface with another latex (cheaper obviously) caulking and THEN apply the Mapai product.
3. Problems with color match. ALL tile, laminates, lino etc have dyelot numbers.
when the product is manufactured they use a dye to give the product it's color. The dye is never the exact same from one lot (batch) to another. Most are 99.5 % the same match. Well most of us wouldn't notice such a small difference, some of do and that's why you get a disclaimer from companies to allow for shading. Think of it as those .5 percentile being a half shade off. *It's like science experiments or studies. They always allow for a certain percent of change (variables) that can effect the products exact end result* If you want the EXACT color match then it needs to be from the same batch made with that exact same dye (dye lot number). The caulking is no different (though the variables are much smaller). It's unavoidable. As an installer no one has seen more issues with caulking not matching the product then myself. To me there is a simple solution but probably not "cost effective" or it would have been done long ago.
This is a great product if used correctly <--- ARE YOU?

Very easy to use, just like regular caulking.
Needed to hide some gaps in a not square area, The walls are gray & this easily disguised the problem.
