Does extending to the maximum length weaken the rod in the centre
Hello and thank you for your inquiry regarding the Kenney 42-72 In. Spring Tension Utility Rod, if properly installed and given the proper tension you shouldn't have an issue with the center of the rod.

Easy to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a new Shower Curtain rod but I don't really have the time or tools to stall one that is bolted to the wall. That's when I came across this one and they were not kidding when they say it requires no tools. I had it installed in seconds and shower curtain on it in minutes. It hold perfectly to the way even if you happen to grab on it and put a little weight on it and perfect for appartments.

Great Utility Rod
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This utility rod is strong and can hold a lot more than i anticipated. I use it to create extra room in the closet. It's very sturdy and can pretty much go any where. 72 inches covers a lot of ground and this thing can stretch out that far. Love this item its its sturdy and very helpful if you need extra room. It also can be used as a shower curtain rod if needed.

Sturdy rod for closet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to add a partition to my closet but I didn't want to drill any more holes in there. This tension rod worked great as I was able to adjust the height and depth of the 2nd bar in my closet to get it to fit the clothes I needed to hang (kids clothes). This wasn't meant to be a permanent solution but it made organizing my kids clothes a 100x easier.

Thick and sturdy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this tension rod to help me hang clothes in the bathroom. It is thicker than another one I had gotten from the store and is sturdier then the other one as well. I am not sure if this happened during shipping but one end rubber cap fell off when the product arrived and when I put it back it stays but appears to have the potential to fall off again.

Strong and Sturdy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The rod is strong and sturdy, no snagging or sharp edges. Have it at the top edge of my shower stall. My hands aren't strong enough to have the length out far enough and then be able to squeeze it to fit the wall. But I'm able to get enough tension that it will stay in place when partially resting on the upper edge of the shower. It looks nice.

Easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rod was a great addition to my closet for more space to hang things. I really Like that you twist to make longer or shorter, helped with installation and making sure it was secure. I haven’t tried too many heavy articles on clothing but so far it’s holding up great! Simple, functional, great.

Great utility rod to have at home
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great utility rod to have at home where we can make it work well. It is strong to hold up anything and it’s long enough too. It goes up to 72” so it will not be a problem for you. It’s white in color so it matches my room and probably most rooms as well. Sturdy and made very strong.

It Holds Up Well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This utility rod does what it’s supposed to do. It’s easy to put up and holds up well (if you follow the instructions and put it up correctly). It seems sturdy so far. I use it in one of my closets to utilize the vertical space. I would buy another one if there’s a need in the future.
