Description

The S100 riding lawn tractor is the most affordable 42-inch deck model of John Deere/s 100 series. Its 17.5 HP single cylinder engine has plenty of power to handle tough mulching, mowing and bagging conditions for yards of up to one acre. The S100 features a hydrostatic transmission, side-by-side foot pedals, enhanced styling, adjustable controls and a heat-resistant, comfortable 11-in seat. The 42-inch 2-blade Edge(TM) cutting system with manual PTO blade engagement offers superior cut quality and can be easily equipped to bag or mulch. It provides even cuts and has 1-in to 4-in cut height selections (1/4-in increments). John Deere® products are available and can only be sold via authorized dealers.

But due to these covid times it was impossible to get one. So i jumped on this tractor before it was too late. Glad i purchased the S100 as i didnt need the extra HP for my lawn. Manuals are easy to read and great two year warranty. These mowers have to be inspected before they are able to be sold being as per John Deere requirements so you have peace of mind that its ready to go as soon as you receive it. RONAs consumer service was excellent making sure i received a great working lawn tractor. Just an heads up purchase the mulcher attachment as well. Thanks RONA

Ils ont colmaté la fuite et ont supposément changé le filtreur. Nous avons pu faire 2 tontes par le suite et le problème de calage est revu. Mais avec une garantie qui s'est terminé entre temps. Nous avons démonté le tracteur et tout changé se qui pouvait se changer. Après deux semaines, ça semblait bien aller....mais BANG le câble d'embrayage a cassé dû au frottement de la stap dessus. J'ai eu un Craftman pendant 15 ans avec AUCUN problème majeur comme ça. Passez à autre chose!

My main problem is the lack of the accessory door just on this model. Sure it’s only 10 bucks to buy but 20 dollars to ship. Come on John deere, how can you call yourself premium and then do this? Other than that it’s the nicest lawn mower I have ever owned by far

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mdan from John Deere S100 I bought this one first week of May 2021. Work well. I have adjusted the mower deck. It was almost correct level. I recommend to get a mulch cover to put on when you connect a water hose to deck cleaning. Wash the deck every cut.

On the hilly areas that, truth be told, could use rolling to flatten out the bumps it does leave the tiniest grass ridge...but that is more my lawn problem than the mower. Great turning radius, love the LED lights for evening cuts, mow in reverse is a bonus!

Tight turning radius and lots of height adjustment. I don't like having to hold a button to cut in reverse but a minor inconvenience.
