Not exactly what I wanted, but fairly close (?)
I was searching for the rear weights & bracket for my older John Deere lawn tractor - a "175". The listing for this part (mis-labeled, it has nothing to do with tire chains!) said it would fit a '175'. I *think* that what was meant was an 'LA175', a much newer tractor.
Now, the exact bracket that I need may no longer be readily available - my tractor is roughly 20 years old (I think - purchased used). But, it would have been helpful at least to know that at the time of ordering. Lowes could be more specific in their description.
Since I have a well-equipped shop and tools, I can and will have to do some significant modifications to my tractor and/or the bracket - but I'm sure that I can make it work. Would have been really nice if I didn't have to do all that, though!

Winter Necessity
This is an absolute must if you are going to be using any front mounted accessories on your lawn tractor in the winter. You will also need the suitcase weights and tire chains.

Heavy Duty Steel Bracket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This accessoey fits all E-Series John Deere Lawn Tractors and is very easy to install and holds two 42lb suitcase weights very securely while mowimg or pushing snow. The weights can be removed very easily as well by simply lifting them away from the bracket. Improves traction tremendously.

Well Designed Weight Bracket
I bought this weight bracket to go with the weights, tire chains and snow blade for my John Deere D100 tractor that I also bought at Lowes. The weight bracket is a new design made for the D Series tractors. Installation was a breeze! Two bolts & nuts, and a 1/2 inch wrench was all there was to it. The bottom of the bracket has two tabs that fit into the slots on the back of the tractor, then the bolts fasten up the top of the bracket. Install was less than 5 minutes. Nice product!

Exact Fit
Ordered this for my JD 170 and it's exactly as described. Two bolts connect it the exiting frame and an extremely simple install.
