A tapered-pitch nose improves clearance and adds stability. The thick-body handsaw blade incorporates a water-based lacquer coating to help deliver fast, controlled cuts. Rated 5 out of 5 by smokeyman33 from it cuts wood really well i purchased this saw because i recently purchased a foreclosure and the steps needed to be replaced. Since there was no electricity on the property, the saw really was good in place of the power tools i'm used to, it's super sharp and cut thru 4x4 and 2x6 with ease. it was hard to get angles, but probably more so due to my sawing technique than the saw itself. very happy with the product.
