Irwin Marples Hand Saw Steel 15-in Dark Blue is rated out of 5 by 63.
Rated 5 out of 5 by hammer54 from Excellent detail and flush cut saw When used properly, this saw lasts a very long time. It is a detail saw used for flush cuts and detailed carpentry. The teeth are very fine and expertly ground. I own two, have owned them for many years and, as a carpenter, use them often. I also use them when building fine furniture and no matter if the wood is oak, walnut or even rock hard maple, the resulting cuts are exceptionally smooth. The reason it works so well is the fine teeth and thin blade. Yes, that makes it unsuitable for some jobs but if you're cutting a 2x4, go buy a rip saw. This is a finely crafted tool made for precision work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mark from Perfectly Simple This saw is really good, and it is perfect for it's intention. The teeth are very finely cut, and the kerf was very thin. It works excellently for cutting dovetails. The blade is flexible; so it;s suppose to be able to do flush cuts against surfaces. From my experience trying this with the Irwin Dovetail Detail Saw, I need more practice. I really like this saw for my uses. When used properly, it will work well for you too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by scott from Small But Mighty Great utility saw that cuts clean and quick. I have used it on pine, oak, and aged walnut and it cut each effortlessly. The only drawback is the blade release button on the handle is a bit too big. If you have larger hands, it can be a challenge not to detach the blade from the handle in the middle of a cut. Overall I give this tiny workhorse 4.75 stars and will buy another without hesitation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bassmando from Replacement blades available The replacement blade for Shark 10-2204 is an exact fit for this saw. But it costs about as much as the whole saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Steve from Absolutely Perfect This thin-blade saw is perfect for so many tasks: a quick trim, a flush cut, thin material, you name it. I've cut everything from protruding shims to 2x4's with this extremely sharp fine-toothed saw. It cuts om both strokes but is most useful on pull strokes for cutting a perfect straight line with no chattering or binding. The blade is removable and lasts a long time. Highly recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by John69 from No Replacement Blades I really liked this tool until the blade became dull and I couldn't find a replacement blade anywhere for it! Tool is too expensive to just throw away every time it needs a new blade!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rob from Don't waste your money This saw is designed for only the lightest chores. The teeth will break if they encounter dense or very hard wood. If you think you can just replace the blade...think again. While the blade does detach from the handle, Irwin indicates that no blade replacements are available. Spend your money are a worthwhile, quality draw saw. This is not one of those.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brando from a clean cut I'm a framer, and this is not the saw I am used to. That being said, the saw is sharp, bites/cuts well, and doesn't take much effort to make it through hard or softwood.
