Description
This Irwin drill bit features a central core for unyielding rigidity while driving. Drill through hard or soft woods fast with this heat-treated, single-spur cutting bit. The auger drill bit has a 1/2-in dia, high-speed steel spiral flute with a 7/32-in hex shank.
- Full length heated treated bit
- Solid center design provides extra rigidity while driving
- Wide lands keep bit straight as it bores
- Flutes are ground behind the lands to funnel chips to the inside of the bit and away from the outside diameter, producing a faster, cleaner cut
- Chips to bit inside for cleaner/faster cut

- Full-length heat-treated bit guards against bending in heavy-duty applications, and strengthens the twist where the greatest strain occurs
