Rated 1 out of 5 by Joe Consumer from Terrible taste Had new fridge installed and as instructed installed new ice maker connector and the new filter. Ran the water thru and water taste was terrible. Ran water for several days and still terrible. Removed new filter and no change in taste. Disconnected connector hose from the fridge and still bad taste. Put old connector hose on and 100% improvement on the water. So we just wasted our money on this product. So disappointed. Wish we could get refund but since it’s used we are out of pocket. Don’t hold this against the retailer but certainly the manufacturer.

The quality seems to be there and with the braided water line, I have no fear of it becomming brittle and cracking over the years. As for the value, just the valve would be priced at this price. Most kits include the flimsy polyethylene tube for the same price if not more.
