Lots of power for a 40cc engine
I've had this saw for a few years. Long term it's been a great chainsaw. The last month I've really pushed the 440 to its limits and it still chugs away. I been cutting down over grow trees at work. As long as the chain stays sharp, this saw will cut through about anything. This weekend I successfully cut down a tree that measured 49" across at the widest part. I switched out the stock 18" bar for a 20" bar. When I tried to cut the full 20", it would bog down and stop the chain. But as long as I kept moving the saw, it kept cutting. If the 440 ever quits running, I'll replace it with another.

Great saw.
My previous saw was the 16” version of this saw I bought 15 years ago for $20 less so I was pleasantly surprised at the price. This saw is easily $100 more than you’d pay for the Chinese made equivalent (if that’s a thing). Two reasons I didn’t give this 5 stars; 1) the brake was locked up on it right out of the box, the only reason I didn’t return it for an exchange was because I needed it and saws were sold out w/I a 3 drive of me due to recent ice storms, and I was able to fix it easily enough. 2) It didn’t come with a simple plastic chain guard like my last Husqvarna did...seems like a cheese way to cheap-out Husqvarna.

Totally unreliable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chainsaw had maybe 6 good uses. Ever since then I have had to spend more time to get it started and keep it running than actually using it. I've had to take it into the shop twice and they never really find anything wrong. They will replace the fuel filter or something and it will be good for a tank or two and right back to the same old problems. And I'm not using bad fuel. This unit is being fueled from the same container as several other tools that use the same mix and absolutely no issues and most are used more than the chainsaw. It is just a total lemon.

Surprised
Saw arrived on Thursday, used it for the first time on Saturday to clean-up blow-downs from the latest Noreaster. Saw cuts like a hot knife through butter -- plum, maple, pine -- right through it. However, I was shocked that on a saw of caliber, it did not include a scabbard for the bar and chain -- that is such a basic piece of safety equipment, that even the cheap battery powered saws include one. Come on Husqvarna -- it costs you a dollar to include one and then I wont have to put a Stihl scabbard on my nice new saw...

Not what I was used to with Husqvarna
I bought this for casual use around my 3/4 acre place, cutting a max size of 4" thickness and that on a rare occasion, and although it does the job, slowly, it isn't the quality of use I was looking for in a Husqvarna. I own half a dozen Husqvarna products, but this is the only one I'm unhappy with, and have been since minute one of use. Hard to start, hard to keep running, not enough power. All in all, a bad purchase on my part. When it comes to chain saws, I'll be going back to a ----- as soon as I can find someone dumb enough to buy this one off me at half price.

Chainsaw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased one and it ran great for about 30 minutes. Started hard and then ran intermittently. Then would not start at all. Thought my gas mixture was off so I emptied the saw out and mixed gas with oil exactly as directions state. Still would not run consistently. Took saw back and exchanged for a new one. No problems exchange. This one ran for maybe 10 minutes and would not start again. I used new gas and the oil that came with the saw. Took it back for store credit, again no problem. Not sure what to think of this brand and model. Thinking of stepping up to the next size and larger engine but I have some reservations after having bad luck with two. Planning to do more research before buying the next one.

Good Deal works great
I bought this saw to cut firewood and minor trimming around the house. I was a tad bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews. I ran two tanks a fuel through it so far and have had no issue with this saw. I followed the starting instructions and started three pulls cold start. Cutting power is awesome I highly recommend thus saw to anyone looking for a strong inexpensive saw.

Good little saw
Haven't had any problems yet and I have went through 2 tanks of gas. Only thing I don't like about it is after it gets hot sometimes it takes forever to get started back up.
