Quality Grab Bar
We have a nephew who is wheelchair bound. He and his family were scheduled to visit, and in anticipation we installed one of these bars in each of the main floor bathrooms to assist in toileting. They are attractive and provided excellent support. We are pleased. Installation was simple... find studs, mark, drill, drive screws to hold mountings, install bar over mounts with provided allen wrench. Mounts conveniently are 16" apart to make attachment to studs easier. Any person with familiarity with basic tools can do the job. Instructions supplied.

Easy to setup and use
I bought this for my aging father who has trouble standing from the sitting position. I like it because of its curved design which gives him a few angles to grab hold of or what he does is use the horizontal bar to rest his arm on while gripping the angled bar. It was easy to install and it seems like its good quality. I wish it was a little bit longer but it seems to be just adequate in its size. It has grip pads on the revers side of the bar which should help keep someone's hands from slipping which is great but the downside to that is it's easy for that place to collect unwanted grime and such if you know what I mean. Since it's on the reverse side it's difficult to clean. I would buy this again though.

Great support bar!!!
We purchased this bar for our downstairs shower stall because you have to step up to get in.....It so great that I am purchasing another one for my master bathtub. I suffer from Fibromyalgia so my muscles are very weak which makes it extremely difficult to get in and out of the tub. You will not regret buying this bar, especially since it is angled!!!!!

Cheap screws
The crab bar itself is very well built. It's sturdy and fit very well within the studs for a secure mounting. However bring your own screws because the ones that come in the kit wouldn't make it through the drywall let alone the studs. The heads strip out very easily and will frustrate you to no end.

This is the third one I have purchased. I bought one for my wife to help her get up and down in the bathroom.
Then I bought one for me in my new house before I went and had my knee replaced and this last one for my Mom and Dad to help them out.

Mounting cover was badly corroded.
I installed this grab bar 3 years ago. It is still operational and works perfectly. However during the course of the 3 years the following things occurred: (1)the bolt that holds it together came loose and I had to remove the end cap to tighten it with a wrench, (2)Removing the end cap caused its tabs to crack off, and (3)Mounting cover is badly corroded and I decided to remove the entire bar but was unable to remove the 2 set screws that hold it together. I believe that I will probably have to use a hack saw to remove it the whole thing.
