Description
Square D brand Home Electronics Protective Devices (HEPDs) reduce surges that might otherwise overwhelm plug strips and damage connected household equipment. HEPDs also provide surge suppression for important items such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, and lighting that plug strips don/t protect. Compatible with any brand of electrical panel, model or design. Surge Current Rating per Phase 80,000 A. Short circuit current rating: 25,000 A. NEMA Type 4X enclosure rating suitable for installing indoors, outdoors, or in other harsh environments. LED indicates operational status. Small size will fit any installed panel.

Can this be put on a rural pole shut off to protect house and shop on 100 ( might be a 125 )amp supply? Seems it would be the same as placing in breaker panel. Except it would be before the breaker shut off.

Surge suppressor
I bought this unit to protect all the appliances that have electronics in the house, especially our new furnace. No idea if it works but hope it does, time will tell.
