Hi Bubb and thanks for reaching out. All our HOFT Post kits contain the post and all necessary parts needed for installation (anchor plate, rail block, spacers, section bracket, cap and screws and Allen keys). You have to purchase your 5/4th wood or 1'' composite boards separately. Thank you and please have a nice day. HOFT Team.

Can the 44” posts be installed on a concrete slab?
Hi IwannaUseHolt, Thanks for your question! Yes you can install our HOFT post onto a concrete slab. You can use concrete anchors (3/8 '' x 3 '' ½ or 3” is acceptable as well). Thanks, HOFT Team!

Hi, how would you level the posts on a concrete pad that is sloped for drainage? Also, how well does this hold up in wind if it’s installed on a wood deck or concrete pad? Thanks
Thank you for your interest in our products! When you have a sloped concrete pad, we suggest that you shim the posts using shims that you can buy in hardware stores. Shims are small parts made of different material (we suggest metal shims in this case) that you slide underneath the anchor plates before securing the posts. So when you screw the anchors, you can adjust the level of the post perfectly. To answer your 2nd question, It will holds up very well in wind if it's well anchorded, for a wood deck you will need to install a 4x4 underneat your deck and bolt the anchor plates in it with lag bolts of 3'' x 3/8''. You cannot install it on a concrete pad, you will need to remove your concrete pad, if you have one, dig a hole of 42'' deep x 9'' diameter, pour concrete and smoothen the surface. Wait for it to dry at least 72 hrs and then anchor our posts using concrete anchors (3/8’’ diameter x 3’’ 1/2 long). Hope you will have success with your project. HOFT Team!

Installing your 44" Posts on top of my existing Deck Railing (which is a flat deck board.) My plan is to put lag bolts into the 4x4 Deck Posts to secure them. The span would be about 72" between posts. Will that be enough support for wind?
Hi!
We do not suggest to secure our posts to anything else than a wood/composite deck, a concrete slab or a concrete base (in the case of an 8' long posts for in-ground fencing).
Have a great day!

Good looking product, but very few options, colors
I am installing these posts on my backyard deck: longer posts for the privacy screen (with stained cedar planks) and shorter posts with 6" glass for the railing. Hoft is still working out the technical specifications and as of today, they do not have them finalized yet. Without the tech. specs the railing will not pass the building inspection. Also, it would be nice to have the posts in other colors, i.e. gray. Why is everything just boring black? Also different shapes of the hanging planters would be great (I am going to use some modern-looking rectangular planters from other manufacturers and retrofit them with some hanger so it works with the Hoft's slotted fence). Finally, one would expect that the color of screws would match the color of the posts (too bad one has to paint them in order to make them less visible)...
