How do you recommend these be secured into the ground if not installing on a deck? There doesn't seem to be additional length available to be cementing two feet of the post into the ground as is typically done with wooden fence posts.
Hi Mike11 and thanks for reaching out. We do have our HOFT 96'' Post kits for in-ground installation for a 6-foot high above ground fence. Please for more information contact us directly at info@hoftsolutions.com Thank you and please have a wonderful day. HOFT Team.

Can these privacy walls be safely used for railing on second story deck ?
Hi Aden and thanks for reaching out. Yes, we strongly suggest that you reinforce your terrace where you want to fix our posts by screwing boards to your joists (existing structure). Then you can anchor two screws in your joist and the two other screws in the new support board. You need to connect a board perpendicularly underneath the top boards, by making sure that the outer holes and inner holes of the Anchor Plates are reinforced underneath for each beam. Please contact us at info@hoftsolutions.com for more information and a photo to help with your installation. Thank you and please have a wonderful day. HOFT Team.

How deep are the rails inside the post? How much longer do I need to cut the boards?
Hi JMcLean and thanks for reaching out. If using a 5/4th wood board we recommend a maximum of 6-feet between posts. Please contact us directly at info@hoftsolutions.com for our technical drawing for a better understanding of our installation. Thank you and please have a wonderful day. HOFT Team.

Is this self standing? Can it blow over in the wind?
Hi, Thank you for your question regarding our HOFT post! Please note that all of our posts need to be well anchored, either on a deck, on concrete or in ground. If they are very well anchored the wind won't blow your privacy fences! We wish you great success with your project! HOFT Team!
