Description

The 25 (7.62 m) Craftsman® presents a high visibility casing to help find the tape measure on a work station or overstuffed drawers or toolbox. It features the True-Zero® end hook for accurate inside and outside measurements. The tape is protected by a lacquer coating to prevent blade damage and increase durability. A rubber over mould ensures added grip.

Dispenser will NOT stand upright as depicted, but topples over. Nonstandard size to dispenser base dimension, so makes using it more difficult. Relatively heavy weight gives a "fatigue factor" for comfortable use. And it is going to take up quite a bit of space in a tool box. All told, it is much larger and heavier than I expected. ...My old 25 ft Craftsman tape measure had a 2 inch base dimension, so it was easy to set the dispenser down, for example, against a wall edge to be measured, if measuring a room; and then easily add the 2 inches to the measurement given by the tape. Old one was light in weight, compact, metal dispenser, with a narrower 1/2 inch tape width, and could be carried in the palm of the hand or in a pocket. It lasted for decades. It was great. ...However, on the plus side, this new one was on sale and cheaper than the other ones on the website. It is sturdy and will probably last for a long time. It does the job, but it simply cannot compare to my old Craftsman tape measure.

Only three extensions before failure. I returned it for a differnt model. Quite possibly my bad luck that lead me to the one defective tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JohnB from Craftsman Easy Read Tape Measure [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years, I've had some very good success with Craftsman products. And I expect this to be no different. I have (had) two other tape measures, and it's very frustrating when the spring mechanism fails, and the tape no longer retracts...That one is gone! This tape measure features an easy to read scale (black on white). The lime green is an added bonus! I guess you could say this Craftsman measures up!

It has a clip on the side so that you can keep it on you and not lose it while working. There are a few colors to choose from. The bright accent colors make it easy to find. The numbers are easy to read and do wear off quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked this up at the last minute for a work project, it was the lowest price one that I saw. It has a bright display surface that allows you to see the measurements very easily, and it’s neon green color keeps it from getting lost.
