Description

The 16' (4,8 m) Craftsman® tape measure presents a high visibility casing to help find the tape measure on a work station or overstuffed drawers or toolbox. It features the True-Zero® end hook for accurate inside and outside measurements. The tape is protected by a lacquer coating to prevent blade damage and increase durability. A rubber over mould ensures added grip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by brownwoodcustom from Latest [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't replace my tools very often, so when I couldn't find a new 16' tape to replace the one I've been using for years, I was disappointed. I found that most tapes these days were wider than what I was used to. I tried this Craftsman model and found that the extra width did allow me to measure greater lengths unsupported. Not used to this in a sixteen footer. So this works well as an all-around tape for everyday use in my shop and on site.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hoku from Accomplishes its purpose but..... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Small, light, and compact. All a positive. Downside, the tape measure is not a bright color so kind of hard to see when working in low light areas. I chose this one though because it was the sturdiest of all the choices when extended. For everyday use though on the job it would probably annoy me with each use. Lol.

I really like that I can get the measurement off either side of the rule and it is easy to see with the white background. It's also small enough to carry around with you. I have other tapes that are big and bulky (25-35 footers) and others that read inches on one side and metric on the other side, drives me NUTS....

Mine broke in the middle of the project so I bought this one. It worked just great. It seems like it could be bent with out too much difficulty but otherwise great purchase! I would buy this tape measure again because I’m not using it on the daily but if I were a full time carpenter I might look for something a little more heavy duty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TxMomofTwo from Craftsman Green Tape Measure What can I say… it’s a sturdy feeling tape measure. I didn’t have any tools so this is a foundation piece for my starter set. My use of a tape measure is pretty light, so haven’t done much with it yet. It feels nice in the hand, though. Locking mechanism works as it should. I went with this one because I was drawn to the Craftsman items. I think the green and black is maybe the lighter duty line of products?

We use these in our shop and when the guys don't like to carry the larger 35' tape measure these are a great alternative. For the price they last a good bit in our harsh conditions.
