Description

This Imperial high temperature paint is formulated with oil base. It is conceived to restore the finishes of wood stoves, chimney pipes and barbecues. This paint is resistant up to 700ºC (1300ºF) and comes in a spray can. Warranty against manufacturing defects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BillCalgary from Smoker Fire Box I used this product on the firebox of a big offset smoker that I had purchased used. It was important to remove the rust and I used a rust removal fluid and wire brush before prepping and painting. The firebox reaches pretty high temperatures (700 deg F +/-) and while there has been some discolouration, the paint is still hanging in after two seasons of use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Neveragainimperialpaint from Sputters no matter what! THE WORST I stripped a woodstove to bare metal and used this paint. No matter how much I shook the can and held it upright, it would randomly shoot sputters of paint. Very disappointing, basically ruined the finish. I had to re sand and I used Tremclad instead, MUCH BETTER. No sputter at all. Different can nozzle design.
