Could you please lighten up this photo so the base can be seen. Also what is the material in the base. Your description of material is only glass and I am sure the base is not made of glass.

Stability may be an issue in windy area
It is an OK birdbath. The light weight stand being relatively high for its width at the base (not that wide) makes the birdbath susceptible for tipping in a windy area. Little hooks anchoring the 4 curved legs in the ground would make it safer or make the 4 legs touching the ground come out further for better stability.

Overpriced for the quality
The bird bath is beautiful and the solar light is pretty at night. However the paint on the bottom of the bird bath peeled off in the areas where it sits on the stand in all 4 places the first time I took it off the stand to clean it out.

Lovely Birdbath but defective
I really liked this birdbath. I put it in the back yard by some trees on a firm pedestal I made and the birds came. At times there were 3 or 4 birds splashing. It was good for about a week before a problem surfaced. It was a hot day and the birdbath glass was hot from the sun. It started to rain even with the sun shining and I could hear the crack from across the yard. I went to the bird bath and sure enough it was almost cracked in half. It seems the glass cracked when cold rain hit the hot glass. This is a birdbath, it will get rained on so why didn't they make it out of tempered glass. Sadly I returned it as they didn't have a replacement. Lowe's was excellent in taking it back which is why I have no problems purchasing a different one when they come back out. Thanks Lowe's.
