Rated 5 out of 5 by 1984 from Huge Improvement! Worked great to refresh old stained grout. Took a few tries to find the best color, but Bone was ultimately the best for our beige tile. Biscuit was a nice color but a little too white for our tile; I did not care for light almond—way too bright; pale umber still looked dirty. I lightly cleaned the grout with Krud Kutter and a toothbrush, allowed to dry, then applied product with a grout cleaning brush. Due to a timing issue, I had to let the product dry overnight and the next morning scraped off excess that got on the tile with a damp paper towel and putty knife. We’ll see how long it holds up, but so far I’m impressed.

Our grout is old and dingy and no amount of cleaning or scrubbing would help. We bought this product. It took a couple hours of applying with a small brush. the bottle spout does clog off easily if you let it sit openly exposed too long which is annoying. we waited 60min after applying and went through with a wet washcloth and scraped The excess product off the tile. It came up with no issues at all! The final results are incredible! We used the color bone. Time will tell if it holds up with regular cleaning. We plan to wait as long as possible before mopping to try and give the product time to cure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cmck68 from Like putting in a NEW floor! I recently purchased this product after steam cleaning my tile floors (grout lines) with minimal success. I figured might as well try it out since it is relatively inexpensive. Wow! It totally transformed my grout lines from dirty/discolored lines to what appears to be a new install. Now, having said that it is tedious work and takes some experimenting to get the proper technique. I found that applying with an old toothbrush and applying directly to the brush works best. Once you have it "painted" on the grout lines, take the toothbrush and scrub the paint on the tile before it dries....this makes it much easier to remove the paint off the tile with a damp sponge. Covered approximately 500 sq. ft. and still have some left over. Would definately recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Veronica from Absolutely terrible [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I painted a small section of grout knowing this brand had bad reviews. I followed the instructions and one part started peeling within an hour. I let it sit for 2 weeks while I waited for another brand to get here. 2 weeks later I spilled a small amount of water. I went to dab it off and the paint came up! I got a wash cloth and added more water and ended up grabbing a toothbrush to remove it all so I can get a fresh start. It peeled right off with no problems... You can tell where this colorant was vs the other store's brand because that one did not come up with scrubbing. It did look very nice, but not a viable option for sure!

Rated 1 out of 5 by tabman from How many ways can you say Garbage? We wanted to freshen up our kitchen counter grout before resealing. We stripped the old sealer off, then applied Mapei Ultra Care Grout Refresh. We followed the instructions to the letter. We used toothbrushes, since that was recommended on the container. We lightly misted the counter after an hour, per directions. We couldn't help but notice that ALL of the "Grout Refresh" came off when we wiped the counter off. It took less time to remove this cproduct than it did to apply it! This has to be one of the worst products we've ever bought. It is obviously a paint product. A poor paint product at that. I can't believe a reputable company actually sells this stuff.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Erin from I'm so happy with this product! I used it on the floor tile grout and wall tile grout that is in my bathroom. The results = instant upgrade! I was very meticulous and precise when first applying this product and realized I really didn't need to be. It was very easy to remove excess from the surrounding tile. I used a toothbrush and a small paintbrush for application and a sponge and paper towels for cleanup. I was really lucky to get a perfect color match - so much so that you can't even tell where I got lazy with the clean up around the hard to reach corners on the floor. The product that stayed on the tile just added some more depth to the tile "pattern".

Rated 5 out of 5 by RHD2 from WORKS GREAT Our new house had 20 year old tile with discolored grout with areas of patched grout of a different color ( approx 700 sq ft ) After scrubbing all of it with a grout brush I decided to try Mapei grout refresh sealer. I used the dry method when applying it, I think that worked the best. It gave the grout a uniformed look and filled small cracks & defects. Using the dry method gave me the opportunity to get an idea of its durability, using a non abrasive pad to remove any excess off the tiles. It scrubbed off the tile relatively easy but didn't seem to affect the grout refresh on the grout lines!

Rated 5 out of 5 by CQAL from Great Product! I hated the way the tile looked in the kitchen. Previous owner had chosen a dark brown grout color that only got darker with age. It constantly looked dirty. This product was very easy to use, but you spend allot of time on the floor, so make sure you have a soft pad to sit on or use knee pads. I ran a small bead of the Refresh down the center of each grout line and used an artist brush to paint it into the grout. I waited about an hour or so to clean off areas that I had gotten it up onto the tile edges. The grout lines are really deep so I had to remove the Refresh color off of the beveled edges of the tile. Found that using a plastic artist palette knife worked really well for me to do this. Am hoping that this holds up well over time, but I would use this product again in a heartbeat. Totally changed the look of the kitchen and dining area.
