Nice trimmer but could use some better engineering
My new hedge trimmer works great with the 80v battery I have been using for years with other GW equipment. However, because the trimmer cannot be used unless the entire pole assembly is together, it can be difficult to use and maneuver. The unit does break down into two pieces but there is currently no way to use the trimmer without the second extension pole attached, it has the on/off handle/switch!? I would be willing to purchase an additional attachment were it available that is basically the on/off handle/switch that could plug into the trimmer and it's handle. No added extension, just the on/off controller.

PRO 80V CORDLESS 20" POLE HEDGE TRIMMER (TOOL ONLY)
I would give it 5 stars because it cuts nice and it has nice angles. The only con I could say is ,you can only use rhe trimmer a full length and you can't use the shorter part pole for close cuts.

My new go to Trimmer!
I owned the 80V blower and hedge trimmer and was impressed so buying the pole hedge trimmer was an easy decision when I decided to replace my old pole trimmer. I've owned the new one for two weeks and it's become my go to hedge trimmer for almost everything. The cutting power is tremendous, equal to a gas trimmer as it makes easy work of difficult projects. I trimmed 40 feet of Winter Gem hedge that used to take 2 hours in 30 minutes with the new trimmer. Outstanding.

Heavy and heavy-duty- well-made!
It's little heavy on the tool end, but very sturdy and it cuts like a demon. It was fairly battery-sparing- cutting for over an hour, with only about of the battery's charge was used up. It cut thru heavy stalks and saplings [we used it to cut down the invasive reeds [phrages] and other plants around our pond [mostly].

works like a charm!
This pole trimmer has decent reach and is very powerful and quiet. I would highly recommend it if you have tall hedges. Works well on short ones too. Cordless is way better than corded!

Difficult tool
I have the 40 v version so thought the 80 v would be designed to be easier to use. It isn't and is even more unwieldy. I don't recommend it.

A warrior's tool
Sharp and effective, great for low cutting hydrangeas and reaching the tops of bushes. Super long battery usage too.
