What is the operating temperature. Will it accommodate Canada’s - 35?
I live in Canada, currently experiencing winter and haven't had any issues due to temperature. Haven't been as low as -35 tho

Was reading spec. Says I need 16V AC - 24V AC Transformer then goes to say it needs 10V. This is on this page under power requirements. What voltage does it need and what MA should it be producing to run both bell and Hello device 100MA, 200Ma 750MA

Can the nest door bell be battery operated
No, has to be hard wired in to the old wires. I had to return mine and got a Ring due to the new house only gave me inch of wire to hook up to the Nest. The extension in the box would not go in to the hole due to the size of them. The Ring doorbell will let you use both battery or wire power plus it will operate better in cold weather than the nest as I have heard.

We have 2 front doors. Can you pair 2 of these together.
Each Nest device including the door bell has its own MAC address so on your Nest app will show each camera in a separate screen.

I live in Canada, does the cold weather affect the door bell operation?
I live in Edmonton AB and it gets cold. The doorbell works down to about -35C from my experience. The video quality suffers a bit at that temp but still works. I recommend mounting close to any perimeter warmth from the house and make sure it has a good power supply.

If i have a wired doorbell and chime, do I need anything further to supply additional power?
As long as your current doorbell wiring pushes 16-24V AC at 10VA, this would be all that is needed for the Nest hello to work.

Fantastic product
Great product with incredible camera. Works very well in low light as well. Installation is simple as long as you can use a drill and make electrical connections. The extension wires that come with the product work great but are somewhat limited. They are super short and have a very bulky connector. Good luck hiding it.
One hiccup I had was my screen door. It prevented me from locating the device in the stock location of the doorbell. This unit is somewhat thicker then a traditional doorbell. I had to drill through my brick and mortar to mount it properly and hide the connections. All in all it took no time and was simple.
Pairing to nest account was simple.

Quality of Construction and Customer Service
I purchased this Google door bell based on its good reviews. It's working as expected. The reason for the poor review is its quality of materials and construction. It's a year and a half old and the face of it is delaminating very badly. I called Google for help and the CSR told me, “it's out of warranty and to go buy a new one" I'm writing this to inform potential purchasers to not waste $299.00. Just don't buy it, the quality of materials and construction doesn't stand up. Their customer service response is just as bad.

Nest Hello Doorbell is first rate!
I purchased a Nest Hello Doorbell after having a great experience and familiarity with a Nest Thermostat in my home. The Nest Hello Doorbell is easy to set up by following the enclosed directions. As long as your home internal bell transformer voltages meet the Nest requirements, it will work almost immediately, when paired up with your house wireless system. I now have added security and peace of mind when someone appears at my door, as I can talk and listen to them through the convenient, downloadable phone and tablet app. without having to open the door (or even being miles away!) Thank you Nest! We enjoy your products! Keep them coming!

Great new device that allows you control
This was my first smart doorbell. I decided to wait for the Nest Hello even though there were other products already available for purchase. I am glad I did. It works perfectly in the Nest ecosystem but how it performs is really the best thing. I was amazed at the camera's clarity, especially in low light or night situations. It still provides you a great photo / video. The angle of view is larger than expected. It is attentive and provides me appropriate alerts. Installation was not that bad and you can watch a video if you need help. I like the App, it keeps all my Nest and related products all together for ease of use. I recommend it strongly.

Sleek. Intuitive. Reliable.
This is my first WiFi/Video doorbell, and I have not been disappointed. The initial setup was very simple, which replaced my standard old-school doorbell. Setup in the Nest app was very straightforward and easy, and got it running from unboxing, to install, to app setup in less than 30 minutes. I also got the Nest app setup on my wife’s phone under our family account with ease. The Nest Hello is a beautifully designed product that has worked flawlessly since install. The video quality is exceptional, and it does an excellent job of monitoring motion, sound, and faces. I am looking forward to using Nest Hello for many years to come!

Nest Hello Review - Excellent
Nest Hello is a new addition to my portfolio of Next products. I was a first adopter of the Nest Thermostat, Aware, cameras etc.. The app is a single pane of glass overview of my home products.
The Nest Hello adds an additional security feature of facial recognition and 10 days of reviewable footage. High quality imagery and “familiar faces” to create moments. Interactive capabilities and custom and canned responses allow remote and local answering service for the doorbell.
All around takes you a step closer to a “smart home” and adds security.
One more touch of security, packages are safer, and kind of funny to hear conversations of incoming visitors.

We LOVE our new doorbell....it is so much more than that, and has already paid dividends. We purchased it because we had a very expensive package stolen off of our porch. Within three days of buying Nest Hello, I was notified that there was a person at my door while I was at work, and when I went to check it out on my phone, the FedEx man was leaving a package on my doorstep. I was able to have my son grab it immediately. Then a sprinkler repairman came and rang my doorbell, and I was able to speak to him directly right from my desk at work!! Awesome and so easy to use. The video and sound quality is incredible. WAY worth it...would buy again in a minute.

Exceeds standards with one small issue
There is only one thing I don't think about this doorbell. The fact it requires a wired chime. If you already have a wired chime and are looking for a video doorbell this unit is great.
It has excellent facial recognition and it takes a snap shot of all the faces that step close to it. Video quality is great as well, audio sometimes picks up the wind a bit too much but otherwise it seems fine. The speaker for 2 way sounds clear and better than a cell phone on speaker.
Overall very impressed though I would love to see a model that addresses the need for a wired chime. They created an issue by requiring it in my mind.
