Rated 1 out of 5 by Ken Fu from Don't buy this if you live in Canada! Bought this "new improved" camera 2 months ago. Worked when warm out but if the temperatures get a little cold out it goes "Offline due to extreme temperature." My Google Nest Doorbell "wired" camera(old version) meanwhile works just fine during this cold spell. It has the same specs for temperature! Google support just says too bad if you live in a cold climate. They don't care to look into why one product works and the new product doesn't. I asked if there is a firmware update coming to fix this issue and they told me nothing is planned. I would buy something else if is gets colder than -15 C in your area!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by geo2 from Requires a separate app and a more expensive plan I have several nest / google devices in the home including a thermostat, a wired doorbell and nest protects. All of these devices work very well on the nest app. I pay for newt aware for the doorbell and it has paid for itself when someone threatened a neighbor and my camera recorded it so we could give the footage to the police. I wanted a new camera for the carport and bought this one. But you can not use the nest app. This one camera is only usable in the home app which is not as nice as the nest app. My nest protect won't work on the home app so I need to use two apps just because of this one camera. Google confirmed this. And the subscription plan is different for this camera. Expect to pay $120 a year if you want to access 24/7 footage. Compare that to $80 for two cameras under the 1st gen plan. Very disappointed at the lack of integration and the high costs. Will return and get the ring camera instead

It works flawlessly, super impressed with the video quality. It alerts me when someone approach my back door, stores video, and learns who people are. In my opinion, it's simply the best camera!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Camilo from No ethernet makes you reply rely on wifi Lacks Ethernet and as my cameras are outside wifi tends to drop. Rumor is that a cable will be available soon with PoE. Battery nowhere near to 6 months. More like 5 weeks
