Was harder to work with than anticipated
I was using this to remove dried adhesive on the sides of my doorframe. I had expected the gel to cling when I sprayed it on, but it just ran down the frame. It therefore did not soften the adhesive as I'd hoped. Rinsed it off with clear water, let it dry completely then just scraped off the adhesive. A lot of work, but I got most of it off.
I found the best use of this was after I had removed most of the adhesive. I put some of it on a cloth and also sprayed a small amount of it on each area, and it worked pretty well to remove the remnants of the adhesive.
However, that is not the effectiveness I was hoping for, hence the 3 start rating.

It works!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stuff really works. I've used it to get the really sticky price tags and barcodes off vases, picture frames, etc. Recently my son told me we had to get him a new pencil pouch because he put a sticker on it and now it wouldn't come off so he didn't want it anymore. I sprayed goo gone on it and let it sit for a couple minutes then it came right off. Good as new. You do need a little patience because if you spray it on then immediately try to get the sticky residue off it doesn't work very well (I've tried), but have patience and let it sit for a few minutes then wipe it off and it works great.

More like Goo Reduced
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this product on a stainless steel container that had residue from a label affixed to the bottom. I had previously tried removing the residue with dish detergent. Goo Gone removed a layer of the residue but left behind a much-less-noticeable and thin film that a repeated application would not remove. My initial application I left on the area for 3 minutes. The instructions say leave it on for a few minutes. After the first application did not remove the residue completely, I tried another application which I left on for 20 minutes. I did not notice any change in the remaining residue. It was still there and remained sticky to the touch.

Not very effective
I bought the product to remove old, sun-baked stickers and their adhesives from vertical surfaces outdoors. It did enable me to get some decals off that I probably would not have been able to otherwise, but just barely. As far as removing old adhesive itself was concerned, it was completely ineffective, even if left on for some time. Also, it could stand to be thicker; I expect a gel to pretty much stay where I put it, but this product runs and drips. I returned it for a refund. I will probably try another Goo Gone product, "Pro-Power Gel." According to the MSDS, it contains entirely different chemicals from this product.

GooGone Adhesive Remover Works
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had some doors with windows installed and the manufacturers labels were still applied FIRMLY. I could not peel them off. I applied Goo Gone Goo Adhesive Remover Spray Gel and let it sit a bit. It did soften the label somewhat but I still needed to scrape it off. That was easier than when the label was dry. After the scraping was done the adhesive remained and no amount of scraping would remove that. I sprayed the adhesive with the Goo Gone Gel and let it sit for a few minutes. The gel did run down a bit but most of the product stayed where I sprayed it. Then I was able to use paper towels to remove the softened adhesive. After that a cleaning of the window with window cleaner and the job was done. Now I only have 5 more to go!

Better than the "original"
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start off by saying I use the regular Goo Gone in the push pump bottle. I think it works pretty well so I was interested to see if this version had any advantages.I definitely prefer the new squeeze spray bottle. It's a lot easier to control and puts the solution where you want it, although it may spray a little wider than you'd like. The "gel" is not much thicker than the original but it does seem to help keep the solution from running, a definite plus. The new stuff removes label residue and other sticky stuff at least as well as the original. I like it and will probably buy Goo Gone in this form from now on.

Goo Gone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not the first time using Goo Gone. I used it to remove the adhesive left behind after removing emblems from my truck. Easy to apply, but I find spraying it on a rag then dabbing it on the adhesive works better for me. It takes a couple of applications doing it this way but it does take the adhesive off and does not damage the paint. I have also used it to take the labels off of glass bottles and it works great on the sticky residue. Overall a handy product to have around.
