Description
GlasRoc Tilebacker drywall is a superior tile substrate for walls, ceilings, and countertops, specially designed to meet the demands of high-moisture areas. Lightweight and designed to cut like regular gypsum board for ease of installation, it offers excellent fire-resistance properties and naturally resists mold and mildew growth. Well-suited for tile and non-tile installations in wet and non-wet applications, areas of high humidity and use the 5/8/ variety for fire-rated assemblies. Lifetime limited warranty for residential applications.

Easy to work with
Pretty easy to work with. You do not need to seal this type of backer when using it on interior walls, so you save effort and money by not having to redguard the whole thing, which was the primary reason I used it in my application. It is easy to cut with just a knife (and no dust), a bit heavier than regular drywall, but much lighter than concrete board.
