It's big, functional and impressive, with a quality look and feel. Delivery guys rolled it into my garage and it was packed very well. I chose not to attach the wheels to keep a lower profile but when empty, it slid easily across my SwissTrax floor. Drawers slide smoothly and they close the last bit on their own. I love the hinged top space with the light. It's my "command station", where I place key items for easy access. If you are looking a tool chest and the size/color fits your need, you will be very pleased with this combo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Justin C from Great box upgrade the wheels before you assemble This chest is a beast the extra deep drawers really do make a difference for storing longer wrenches and odd pieces you use once a year. I have been able to condense two smaller tool boxes into this thing. However the wheels that come with it are lacking some functionality the hard plastic does not glide smoothly at all which makes turning the box very hard as they don’t pivot. Eventually I will replace these….unfortunately for the price I thought theses would be soft rubber or anything better than what comes with it. The finish is great matches all my other gladiator gear even older pieces I’ve had for years.

Once out of the box, you can tell this is a quality product. Well designed and very sturdy construction. Both pieces weighed roughly 400lbs. so you will need a little help putting them together. Once together I put in the mesh liners in the drawers. (I would have preferred a solid mat, but these will do) The storage in this unit is amazing. I transferred everything from my old 36" tool chest into it and have so much more space available. The power strip inside is perfect for my battery charging needs. The drawers are spacious, and have the ability to hold up to 100 lbs. in each one of them. All in all this is a great addition to my garage. It is a little pricey, but if you are looking for a quality product that checks all the boxes for garage and tool storage, this is the one you want. Would definitely purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dry Creek Gene from MONSTER Mobile Tool Chest Combo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tool chest arrived as one unit in two boxes...very heavy. Like other Gladiator products the packaging was a work of art. No scratches or dents. No skimping on packaging material either. Assembly was straight forward. I did notice a sloppy tack weld at the wheel attachment backing when the chest was on its side. This will never be seen but noteworthy as all the weight of the fully loaded chest is at this point. I only needed help to place the top chest onto the base, but not hard with two people. At first I was a little overwhelmed by the size of this unit. Next to a 36" combo tool chest this thing looked huge. After the side handle was attached along with the bumpers for all four corners I wheeled it into place. It still looked way too big. Before I started to load my tools into it I placed the included rubber liners into the various drawers. This was a little disappointing as the fishnet rubber tend to buckle up as tools are moved around. I wish Gladiator had gone with solid rubber liners for the drawers. Certainly not a deal breaker, but for the price of this chest I was surprised. Once I started loading the chest I began to appreciate the large size. My old 36" chest is just a few inches smaller in width but a full 6" shorter in depth. This makes a HUGE difference in the amount of tools it holds. Once it was fully loaded, I eliminated the need for my 36" combo tool chest. I also unloaded a separate 27" bottom half of a combo chest. Now the size of this thing made sense. Once everything was loaded and organized I tried rolling it around. What a breeze with the large rubber casters. I connected the power cord and set up my power needs...mostly battery chargers, wireless cell phone charger and an additional power cord out of the second opening at the back left corner of the chest...nice touch Gladiator. I have good lighting in the garage and had no use for the magnetic LED light strip for under the lid of the chest, but it worked great under my Gladiator Wall Gear Box where I really needed task lighting. By the way, the magnets used on the light strip were not an afterthought...these magnets are really strong. I also found the magnetic tool organized mounted below the lid of the top chest a very nice touch. Once again...strong magnets. I also like the presence of a handle to lift the top lid of the chest. Surprisingly not all tool chests have a handle. Lift struts are more than adequate for the lid as well. At first the drawers seemed a little tight to pull out and push back in. They did loosen up a bit and the soft close drawers are awesome. Slam them shut and they slowly return to place. I wasn't sure about if the finish would match my other Gladiator products...but it was a perfect match. The only difference is the Gladiator label is a different finish...no big deal. Overall the fit and textured finish was outstanding. This unit looks like it should last a lifetime. The gauge of the sheet metal seems the same as other leading brands of tool chests. Two separate locks for upper and lower chests are pretty standard. I did notice that every Gladiator product I have purchased over about a ten year period share the same key. Convenient, but not too high on security. Drawers are well thought out. Bottom drawers are high enough for a Skill Saw, but not too high that you waste space. And the depth makes it so much easier to load all of the same type tools per drawer. I was really amazed how much stuff went into this unit. In closing I could not be happier with this tool chest combo. I have been waiting for Gladiator to bring out (back?) a nice combo tool chest to compete with the big box brands and they finally did, with a few new features as well. Only a couple of minor improvements mentioned above would make this product even better. Good job Gladiator!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grease Monkey from Finally...... Expensive but worth it. I put together a garage several years ago with the rolling cabinets. I never bought the tool chest at that time. Finally wanted it and guess what - unavailable. Waited and watched until Gladiator started making it again. It is very well made. The 2 pieces weigh close to 400 pounds- empty. Only complaint- the badging doesn’t match the old stuff. Original badges are orange lettering, new, silver. A little thing, yes, but for this money, it is a detail that should not have been overlooked.

I’d buy another in a heartbeat if they put out a slate gray version to match my cabinets. Hope the other reviewer got his delivered. Or not. I don’t care actually. Nothing like posting a nonsense critical review instead of picking up the phone like an adult.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fish from Gladiator 41” Premier Tool Chest Great product, but two things: I was hoping the delivery guys would have stacked the two pieces and placed it in position for me. They did unbox it for me and hauled away the cardboard etc. I think they were supposed to stack the two pieces. The other thing is it didn’t come with the cord for the LED light. I received no cord so the light does not work now and I have been told it will take 10 weeks which is very disappointing. Hopefully it gets to me

Rated 5 out of 5 by Katz from Better Than Expected I bought this toolbox for my husband. It's very sturdy and it has plenty of room for him to store all of his tools. Now instead of having several smaller toolboxes, he can store everything in this large toolbox. It even has a light inside and some charging stations. We did need help with putting it together because it came in two pieces and the top piece was too heavy for us to lift. The bottom piece has wheels that you attach which is also a very nice feature. My husband should enjoy this for many more years to come
