Description
The Genesis Smooth Pro ceiling tiles offer a waterproof alternative to standard acoustical tiles. Manufactured from white cellular PVC with a smooth surface, these tiles are not only waterproof, but washable and durable, as well. Genesis tiles are made from material that is not susceptible to health hazards resulting from water and moisture. These suspended ceiling tiles have a Class A Fire Rating and are perfect for homes, basement ceilings, laundry rooms, commercial kitchens, food processing plants, healthcare and education facilities, marine applications, and high-humidity climates. Easy to cut and easy to install, our drop ceiling tiles are a great alternative to fragile and water damage-prone acoustic ceiling tiles or styrofoam ceiling tiles. Comes with a 25-year limited warranty.

We just have these ceiling tiles at home and we find each side very similar but one of the reviews suggests that the side that faces out is the one with the UPC sticker. Is this the side that faces out? Or are they interchangeable?
We Contacted the manufacturer and they assured us that the sticker is on the side that faces up and that we do not have to take it off. I asked them if that was just recently because of one of the reviews that said we had to take it off, thinking they corrected the issue, and they said no it was always that way. UPC facing up, Clean side facing down (the side you see). We have a couple of panels up now and it looks great. TIP: Got some new LED Sylvania Back Lit tiles that fit in the 2x4 drop ceiling and WOW they are just amazing. No bulbs to change (ever). Beautiful clean light.

We just picked ours up last week February 2022 and they came in boxes of 10.

Can these support a lightweight led recessed light?

Yup, can’t remember the exact thickness but it’s around 1/4” to 5/16” max. They are nice tiles.

Good panels, bad use of UPC stickers.
Easy to install, cut and work with. Bad decision to put UPC stickers on the side that is supposed to face down! I had to remove each sticker and the residue. These are pre-stressed panels and are not reversible in fitment, so I suggest for the company or Lowe's to put the UPC stickers on the top side (the convex side) to save time for installers.

Fantastic, quick and easy to cut and install
Really please with this product, easy to cut and install. Very easy to keep clean. Just beware they are not as heavy as traditional tiles and may blow around if there is a sudden gust of wind through an open door.

Good Product
I bought this to replace my existing drop ceiling tiles. I had to cut the tiles to fit my oddly sized openings. I used a knife to score one side and break off the extra. Broke along the scored line. Also was easy to cut with a band saw.

Great panels! the boxes they come in are smelly
These are great panels, nothing wrong with them! Just wanted to mention though, that they cardboard boxes they come in are super smelly / stinky!! I've bought these panels on two different occasions and the boxes were smelly each time. If you leave it in your basement while waiting to use them, it will immediately fill the place with the smell. Anyways, we love the ceiling panels.
