Seems to work good and easy to use
Because of problems with moisture in firewood, I purchased this meter to test the wood I receive. Just used it once, but so far does appear to be accurate with the reading because I do know the wood is seasoned and the moisture content should be low. Further testing as I receive wood will tell the true story.
Since I just used this meter today for the first time, I can't say it is high quality and durable, only time and continued use will tell. I can say that I did check around for a meter, for the price this one was the best buy and the other two I looked at appeared to be the same design but for more money.
It is easy to use.

Effective Moisture Meter
While costing one tenth of a device a contractor might use, this moisture reader does the job for consumers. I used it on bare plywood flooring from within the crawl space and inside the home. Used it on the walls and right through the carpet and padding as needed. Later used it on foundation cinderblock.
If highly precise readings are necessary, the contractor's $3000 unit might be the right tool. But if you simply want to know if your floors are within moisture tolerance levels prior to installing flooring over a crawlspace, this one works just fine. Btw, I learned from this that the crawl in my recently purchased home was not sealed and the moisture levels of the base flooring were clearly out of tolerance.

Post-Hurricane Buy
We had roof damage and rainwater pour in from Hurricane Matthew. Walls looked okay, but the moisture meter told a different story. Walls were saturated. Used this to locate the walls and insulation that needed to be replaced.
Meter also found that we had gotten water down our chimney.
Meter worked easily out of the box and it came with easy to understand directions and charts for indicated moisture levels.

Works well
Painting contractor and i own a few different moisture meters. I like this one because it had a nice led display and will alert you if the percentage is high. Came with an extra set of contacts in case you damage the originals. Only issue is there's no storage for the extra contacts on the unit so most people will probably lose them anyway. I taped mine to the inside of the protective cap.
Unit seemed to measure accurately. No complaints but for painters it would be nice if you could set the percentage that it considers acceptable. Coatings have various levels of acceptability in regards to moisture content.

Had others, this one beats all.
I have been an insurance adjuster for 40 years. I have had the pleasure to go from manual inspections to fully digital. This meter is accurate and has let me do my work much easier. The display is bright enough that can be photographed to preserve the evidence. I have had it shortly and have been able to challenge opposing opinions with ease.

Fantastic tool.
This meter worked very well during my recent investigation for a musty/moldy odor.
I tracked down the area inside the wall that was wet using the meter so I didn't have to remove the entire wall.
It was a real time and money saver.

Bowl Turner
I needed another meter for my lathe work and did not want to spend a lot of money. I turn rough bowls out of green wood and need to know when I can finish them. This meter seems to do the job. I've tested the accuracy and it is very close to expensive moisture meters. Well worth the money.

Good, basic, inexpensive meter
I bought this meter to test wall moisture in basement walls while shopping for a new home. While I can't vouch for the absolute accuracy of the meter's readings, I can say that this model is easy to use and gave what appeared to be accurate and consistent readings. This meter also has LED lights that register whether the material's moisture levels are low, medium, or high. This was a very handy feature when taking reading in locations where it was hard to see the screen. General tools also provides two replacement pins for the meter, but there is no place on or in the meter to store these extra pins. So I have taped my extra pins inside the cap with Gorilla Tape which seems to be doing just fine. I would have given this meter 5 stars if they had a storage compartment for the replacement pins and if the base of the unit was designed to hold the cap while you are using the meter. Other than that, I am very satisfied with this product.
