Great Value on Price and Quality
We bought this basic unit to replace a 2 1/2 year old Amana 3.4 top load washer which to our mind is out classed by our new GE. It is like "old school" user friendly. Does a complete front to back wash in 50 minutes. The Speed wash completed in 25 minutes, a huge time saver. Noise is not an issue and these appear to be fixable at a reasonable cost. Clothes are completely washed and ri set properly. Congratulations GE for producing this line whi h is ideal for those of us who like basic features. Thank you.

1.5 years old. it is on the drain cycle and will not stop (no water is left in the tub, nor in the drain hose). Have been unhappy with this machine. Leaves marks on the clothes of the indents in the tub. Very noisy, just not a nice machine at all. With this experience will not buy GE again.

Works well but can be heard from space
I inherited this washer with the purchase of my home. It cleans the clothes better than the frontload I had in my previous place, but it is SO loud! Perfect for houseguests that have overstayed their welcome, just throw a load in at 6am and they’ll get the hint. I thought my washer was going to blow up until I read all of the reviews and that’s just how she sings apparently (shrug).

I don't understand what any company would put such a noise maker into production to sell to people... the motor gearing sounds like its vibrating off its casing or something every time it turns the agitator.. To think that some kind of an engineer at GE Appliances actually approved this into production baffles me. They probably didn't leave their office to check out the quality their design in real time. Never again with this brand.

Terrible Washer Do Not Buy
I bought this machine a couple of weeks ago and I am very unhappy. It is very noisy, hard to set on desired settings, and the spin cycle is so loud and you are scared it is going to blow up. One big concern is that your darker clothes come out with with shapes all over then and you have to rewash right away on the speed cycle to get them out. So four loads turned into eight loads. Definitely do not recommend.

Work as designed
we've had matching washer and dryer two months with no issues. the washer doesn't make anymore noise than our old one did. these are basic appliances and they do the job. dryer works as it should and dries in one cycle.

Worst thing I’ve ever paid for in my entire life
Doesn’t clean clothes properly. Loud. Very very loud and obnoxious. Only 2 months old and hoping it totally blows up so I can get rid of it and pretend it never happened. Matching dryer is also trash. Will not buy this brand again ever.

Boy, she's noisey!
We just had this glorious machine bestowed upon us by out lovely slum lords, I mean land lords. I'm sure it's not the cheapest washer they could find, but it very well could be the loudest. I'm not sure what we did to offend them, but I think they're trying to force us out. the 15 minute wash cycle is louder than the roaring Reptar in my kids Rugrats movie, and the neighbours complained my wife's breast pump was too loud (it was the washer, in case you didn't get that). Anyway, wouldn't really recommend unless you hate yourself, or your family.
