Good stove/bad knob faux 'stainless' veneer
Knob "stainless steel' is merely a metal looking coating that flakes/falls off within 6 months revealing white plastic composition...otherwise we are happy with the units performance.

Such a gorgeous range!
Sure, it's functional - but WOW, it's pretty. We hemmed and hawed a bit about whether to go with the larger size version or the smaller and I'm very happy that we chose the larger version. I haven't used all 5 burners at once yet, but it's just aesthetically pleasing and makes me feel like a professional chef even though that's quite far from the reality.
The unit is very well constructed. The grates are very solid and substantial. The gas lights easily. It's easy to clean without hidden nooks and crannies for food bits to sneak into. I'm very happy with it and would absolutely purchase again.
A neighbor chose not to purchase this unit and bemoans that decision every time she visits.

Effective but thin.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In comparison of my old GE cooktop this was much lighter in weight than expected. It produces even and concentrated flames but at low settings you can barely see any flame. The grates are sturdy but appear thicker in height than needed which will make washing more laborious. Also, keep in mind the gas connection is in the back right corner. I needed to get a longer gas line: Bottom line, it was easy to install and gets the job done, but for nearly a thousand dollars you will expect more.

Plastic knobs keep detting damaged
This cooktop doesnt have an option for stainless steel knobs. The plastic knobs are easily damaged by moving hot vessels around. Not at all user friendly. $60 worth damage each time you move hot vessels around.

Very Bad Quality
I have seen so many cooktops but never seen this type of cook top where you get a cheap plastic metal coated knobs that rips off in the very first month. I was shocked to learn the knobs were cheap quality plastic material. See the pictures and it looks pathetic in a brand new house. Why would GE do this to save few $$. I wish there was a rating to give 0

Good Cook-top
This cook-top replaced a glass gas cook-top, this top has a bit more industrial look as the burner grates are very tall. you will need to be very careful when removing and placing the burner grates back onto the cook-top. We noticed the porcelain coated metal on the display models were all scratched from the grates being placed on without due care. I did have to cut a larger opening in the granite to fit this cook-top even though our old cook-top was also a 36 inch. overall we are very happy with the purchase so far even though it's just been two weeks.

First time cooking with gas...figuring it out
Really enjoying the learning process of cooking with gas however not loving the clean up. Started cleaning under the grates every time but have since taken to doing it only once every 4-5 days. It’s stainless steel - therefore it is a little bit of a chore to maintain.
Heavy grates - have not washed them yet, only wiped them down. I am worried that at some point I will improperly place the grate and miss the bumper and scratch or dent the stainless surface but trying my best to be careful.
The least appealing thing about the cooktop is the cheep feeling and looking control knobs. Wishing the trend for stainless would go away as keeping a horizontal surface looking clean and not scratching it does make using it a little stressful.

Looks great!
It is an attractive stove, just difficult to keep clean. The metal is thin compared to my old GE Cafe gas stove.
