Rated 1 out of 5 by Peetiepie from USELESS Freezer Door Handle Horrible freezer door handle, it comes off EVERY.SINGLE.TIME it's opened.We're on our THIRD handle and now I keep the handle off because it falls off and is putting little dents in my wood floors and I nearly lost a fingernail trying to open it from the side since the handle won't stay on. GE, you need to go back to the drawing board and design fasteners that lock the handle in place, it currently only 'slides' in. Working with the appliance store we bought it from, hoping they do the right thing and let us return this piece of junk. We are in and out of the freezer multiple times a day and I can not deal with this for the life of the refrigerator.

Beeps if you leave a door open, you can set a specific temperature, the drawers can be cold or colder, the door holds milk jugs. It’s just amazing. Not overly fond of the freezer section - seems more like a freezer chest so you put things on the bottom and never see them again. But I have a full freezer in the garage so I just put ice, fruits and veges in it. The freezer handle has fallen off several times already. Can’t seem to get it to stay on yet. It’s been a week since it was last put on so maybe it finally worked.

One year and a week after delivery we learned the onboard software features a program that allows ice buildup around the fan. This hidden feature allowed the motor to run 24 hours a day and supplied us with a loud grinding noise, followed by a room-temperature refrigerator. This is a great feature if you enjoy loud noises. Also the increasing temperature of the fridge allows for faster cooking. All of this provides the consumer with the opportunity to purchase and replace the motor. I recommend pre-ordering a replacement motor as they seem to be rare.

The plastic parts are very thin and I expect them to break sooner or later. The produce/fruit drawers are very flimsy and tend to stick. The water dispenser is on the inside left door frame, so it is difficult to operate for a right-handed person, which is the vast majority of users. The refrigerator is noisy when running. It compares very unfavorably to the refrigerator from another manufacturer that I had in my old home that was at a similar price point. I only bought this brand because it matched the other products in my new home. I strongly recommend you don't buy this unit.

We have a curious puppy who would love to press any door buttons and make a big old mess. This prevents that. The amount of storage is unbelievable, and I love the LED lighting. It was super easy to install, and there wasn't a scratch on anything! One minor thing: I like all of my instructions in one place. This unit had instructions taped onto the sides and all over. But I kinda understand why they did it this way (idiot proof). Seems like heavy construction too! It is also cool that I can somehow put magnets on the front of the refrigerator even though it is SS??

Rated 3 out of 5 by E Tay from It ok... but not great You can tell the quality is not great. Plastic parts everywhere that don't have the best fit and finish. Drawers and trays don't slide smoothly. Doors have some type of spring loaded arm... that I think is supposed to keep the door from slamming... but if you don't close the door all the way, the arm slings the door back open fairly hard. One door also wants to close and the other wants to open when left alone for a moment. (Fridge is darn near level). Only one of the few fridges these days with out door mounted ice / water, so gives a clean look... but would prob look else where if I could do it over again.

Finally found a location that made it happen with ease. They style and look of this product is beautiful. Love the size and space. The freezer holds everything I held in my old side by side. This light is bright, the convenience of the water spout being inside makes the outside look sleek and beautiful. I have so much space. The turbo cool is a great feature. It’s so quiet. I’m never disappointed with any GE product and I have many (frig, a/c, oven, washer, & dryer). They are always reliable.

Nice deep shelves, good access and visibility for what's inside, including clear drawers, beautiful lighting, etc. The door shelves are limited in that you can only arrange for tall items on one shelf in each door, plus the door shelves are not deep enough to put more than two tall items in each. The sliding shelf is nice and allows for tall items in the interior, but it would have been better if it had one of these on each side. The sliding shelf also has a loud screeching sound when it is moved. The ice maker in the freezer works well, making lots of ice in a short time. Would rate this 4-1/2 stars overall.
