Rated 1 out of 5 by Sammy17 from Do not buy I bought this yesterday and returned it the day after. The whole point of a tool like this is that the user is supposed to be able to rely on its accuracy. With this, one second my ground wire had no voltage and the next second the tool was lighting up like a Christmas Tree. Zero confidence means zero utility.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DR.SLIM from Not useful for most jobs I bought this for it's look and slickness and hope it will work. Yes it does detect voltage but it does that even you are 4-5 inch away from a live wire. So, if there are multiple wires with in 4 inch you will never know which one is live/hot and which one is not. This product should clearly a voltage vicinity detector, that is when you are close to any live wire it will start beeping, does not need to touch with the tip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BrianS from Works great for me! I received this as a gift, and I love it. If this thing registers a current, I keep turning off breakers until it tells me it’s safe to work. I’d rather err on the side of caution with this tool and turn off more breakers than necessary, so I love this tool. It’s an essential part of my electrical tool box and I thank my friend every time I do any electrical work on my house. This inexpensive tool is great.
