Description

Garant's ReelEasy wall mounted narrow profile hose reel comports an integrated winding guide and is designed for a 4-ft connecting pipe with a solid copper coupling. It is sold fully assembled and has a capacity of 100-ft for a 5/8-in hose. This product is backed by a 2-year limited warranty. (The garden hose is sold separately)

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Cheap! The product is as cheaply made as it looks. Hairline crack in internal connection to hose. No replacement part available for the type of reel (although there is one part that is virtually the same, except in how it actual fits into the reel. The available part does not fit it.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by jdreher from absolute GARBAGE purchased this item, brought it home connected all hoses, then noticed the hose fitting that was attached to hose that came with it leaked, badly. I then returned it to lowes, and grabbed another one, figuring mine was defective. brought that home, same connection leaked. figured I would just fix that connection myself. after that was fixed, and retried, noticed the hose fitting to the unit now was pouring water against my house. had to disconnect EVERYTHING again. found the cheap hose provided with unit had a small puncture in it. Figured I would just cut off that section of hose and reattach to unit, then noticed the plastic fitting connected to unit in back leaked thru a crack in the plastic. This has taken me all day and multiple trips to Lowes. It is an absolute piece of trash and I will NEVER purchase another cheap product made by AMES again. Dont waste your time. "Buy cheap, get cheap" should be the AMES slogan.

Rated 1 out of 5 by None from Junk I used this hose reel maybe 3 times, when it developed a leak. I disassembled it to find what was wrong (4 screws on the inlet hose side of the reel, 6 screws under the plastic label side. Pry the cover off with a knife). The inlet pipe has a hidden threaded plastic cap which had loosened. In disassembling the hose reel I discovered the hose clamp which secures the supply hose to the reel was stripped. So I go to Lowe's to purchase an exact same size replacement. Turns out that doesn't fit-it's not quite long enough-which explains why the original hose clamp was broken-insufficient thread engagement. So it's off to Lowe's to buy a larger, longer hose clamp, all because some engineer was trying to save a literal buck, the price difference between the 2 hose clamp sizes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GrumpyCat from 10 years strong! We have had this hose reel since moving into our home 10 years, and goodness knows how long it had been there before we moved in. We have a 50' hose on it and think that's the perfect size with no rubbing or sticking. There have been some leaks over time, but we have replaced all of the washers and fitted all of the interior hose connections with plumbers tape. With those corrections, we have had no issues with leaks. I have noticed that it can be difficult to unreel the hose unless it is filled with water, so I always turn the water on first and have no problems. This hose reel is the best one we have ever had. It is low profile, has neutral colors, high quality, incredibly long lasting, and is well worth the price. I have recommended the reel to my mother who has it on order. Othere sites have it listed for up to $50.00, so the price here is a great deal. I do recommend getting good quality hose washers and plumbers tape to use during the inital installation. If you put the time in to do these few steps, the issues with leaks can be prevented.
