Totally disappointed
I normally purchase the blue painters tape when I’m painting but I read some reviews on the frog tape that it produces straight lines for corners where two different colors meet. Every review I read raves about how well frog tape adheres to surfaces and produces super straight lines, so I splurged and paid the extra money for frog tape. Well, I feel duped! I’ve gotten straighter lines with the regular blue painters tape. I thought maybe I just didn’t press it down well enough, but every time I’ve used it, it’s bled....bad! Now I have to go back and correct all the bleeds. I will never buy frog tape again. I recommend regular old blue painters tape. Save your money.

Green is the new blue!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had seen other people use frog tape in the past, but I was “true blue”. After many ,many painting jobs cleaning up after the other tape I decided to give it a try. Wow, the difference is quite noticeable. My mask lines are much cleaner, and removal is a breeze. I also never realized how nice it is to have my tape in a nice plastic container, the edges always stay nice and square. The other tape would bang around in the back of my truck getting banged up which make it difficult to get a clean line when peeling it off of the roll. I’m pretty sure I’m a frog tape user for life

This Frog CROAKED!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our sons’ old room need a paint job. Spent hours prepping walls; filling holes, removing Blue Fun Tak & other surface damage. Applied Frog Tape Multi-Surface Medium Adhesion to the moldings vs. painting edging freehand & to achieve CRISP lines. I paint... let paint dry... as I’m removing the Frog Tape it’s taking the paint OFF the moldings! Not the freshly painted walls BUT the surface I was using it to protect! SO disappointed! Now I have to repaint my moldings. More time, effort & expense thanks to Frog Tape! Ribbit! On the positive side no FRESH paint came off my walls as I removed the Frog Tape.

Best tape I've ever used!
received a roll of Frogtape to try and then give my opinion, I was at first thinking this would work just like allot of the blue painters tapes i.e. not so good allot of the time. But I gotta tell ya I was impressed. Tape was easy to work with, and it didn't Bleed threw at all! used it to mask off a table that had 3 different stain colors and the lines all blended in just the way I wanted them to. Not sure it would have been a doable project without the Frogtape. Then I used it on some painted base on a pony wall that I hadn't painted the wall portion but had completed the base already and it worked flawlessly! Great product highly recommend it.

removed existing paint
I followed the directions on the packaging, tape was applied to the ceiling that was painted 3 weeks prior. applied 2 coats to the walls in 24hrs and removed the tape right away. tape pulled off close to 80% of the existing paint under the tape on the ceiling and now the ceiling has to be skim coated and repainted costing hundreds more. the line was nice and clean mind you but the extra work now is totally unacceptable. duct tape would have removed less paint.

This product definately gives you a straighter line.
I have many joining dif. paint color lines on rounded corners in my house so a straight line is imperative in my detail eyes and for a professional look. There is nothing worse than a line where two colors join and one has leaked under your tape line (no matter how hard you try to press it down) and your left with an ugly looking line...just messy! The only way to accomplish a clean no leak line is with Frog Tape...thanks for developing this product! Make sure to read the tip on how to use the tape on a textured wall, even a light texture can be a problem if you don't follow the tip.

Paint-block technology DOESN'T work
I recently bought the multi-surface frog tape to create a boarder around a room. The painted surface that the tape was put on had cured over a week, I created the boarder with the frog tape, and painted within 2 weeks of taping (it was not in direct sunlight, otherwise I would have painted within 7 days as the package says to). However, I was very disappointed when I removed the frog tape and the edge of the paint lines was not crisp like the product advertises with the Paint-block technology.
It was easy to put the tape on the wall and paint my desired boarder, but the quality for the price paid was very poor as I must redo the entire room boarder.

Tape does not work like it used to !
We have used the green frog tape for years and thought the extra cost was well worth the improved performance against leaks. My husband is a general contractor and has extensive painting experience. We purchased it this last month and 2 times, the paint leaked through and had to be redone by hand which took many hours. Either the roll we purchased was bad or the product is being produced in a cheaper, less effective way. We have a suspicion it's the latter It worked fine against wood molding but not against other interior, lightly textured wall paint. This same process worked fine on many occasions in the past. Very disappointing. The green tape now works no better than the less expensive ones.
