Does the dehumidifier restart after a power outage? If yes, does it restart to the same settings as previous? Thank you

My Frigidaire dehumidifier did not work this year. Shows FO display. Unplug and plug in and works for about 30 min. What’s going on?

Bought it March 2020, seeing error F0 from September. Sent E-mail to manufactory, no response. Where can I get service?
Mine did the same in the second year. I called the company and was told that there is a buy back program. I'm applying for it now. Hopefully I can get some money back. In your manual is a ( 1 800 944 9044) number you can call and talk to a rep who will send you buy back form.

Is this 50 old sized pints or new pints? Thanks
I don't think pints are referred to as old and new. Perhaps you mean Imperial (larger) vs. US (smaller) pints. I have not measured it but since the main market for these machines is the US there is a good chance that they are using US pints. I can say that the capacity is very large and the tank takes a long time to fill. If the tank was any bigger it would be too awkward to carry to the sink to dump it!

piece of junk
Compared to my old 70 pint unit this unit is junk. you can really tell it was made in china.
my old unit had a good solid feel to it, this one feels like it was made from tinfoil.
2nd. the design is ridiculous. all the controls face the back of the machine, so when you are standing in front of the machine, normal operating position you have to read everything upside down.
3rd. the bucket that catches the water is designed so that it is impossible for a person with only one operational hand to operate it. My old 70 pint unit was a dream to operate.
This is an extremely poorly designed and made piece of equipment I recommend no one buy it.

An exceptional machine at a great price point
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit to replace a high capacity dehumidifer from a different manufacturer. The Frigidaire knocked the humidity in my basement down from 65% to 45% in a couple of hours. That's pretty impressive.
Setting the dehumidifier up to drain directly into the floor drain was ridiculously easy. There was no fighting to get to the hose connection and nothing special that had to be done except to unscrew the cap. If I ever decide to use the bucket instead, going back will be just as easy.
The location of the filter and its ease of removal makes cleaning it when necessary a piece of cake.

Average rating
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works basically OK. However there is a major downside. Filter reset seems to be required every 10 or so days, especially when it's more humid in the summer. The filter does not appear to be dirty or clogged. It's quite clear. So, when the filter reset light goes on, the machine turns off and that's that. No more de-humidification in our basement until the filter's removed, returned, then the machine reset. What this means is that one can't go away for more than a few days without having someone -- e.g. a neighbor -- check on the dehumidifier and make sure it's functioning as it should. NOT GOOD.

Continuous drain is not necessary
This humidifier doesn't work any better than the one which it replaced. I've had it running since 6/18/21 and have only dumped the bucket once, and that was when I first got it and left it on the CONTINUOUS mode. Since then I've had it set at 40% and haven't emptied it. It doesn't seem to get cold enough to remove and water from the air. There are times at night where I hear it come on usually 3 times and run for less than 5 seconds. I live in a very humid area of Maryland. I had a Gold Star dehumidifier that I had to empty 2-3times a day. I haven't had a dehumidifier that has worked that good since; I bought that back in 2011 or 20012.

Reliability?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 50 pint is a replacement for a 70 pint same model..... The 70 pint lasts 15 months (9 months usage) had a warranty replacement program and was forced to accept a 50 pint replacement for my purchased 70 pint unit......I was told this was a good model, I'm afraid it is a typical 1 year and dispose of dehumidifier as all the rest.....I've had 5 units ( varing manufacturers) in the past 15 years and none seem to make it more than 2 seasons. I would like to know a good manufactured unit....I will say Frigidaire did cover the unit under warranty and was very cooperative in getting the warranty expedited.

Frigidaire humidifiers work well but not for very long
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on my 3rd Frigidaire humidifier in about four years. The first one lasted about 2 seasons and then lost charge. It was replaced under warranty. The warranty replacement worked for a summer and was out of charge the following spring. It was also replaced under the 5 year sealed system warranty. My current dehumidifier works fine but I don't have confidence that it will last very long either.
So the 50 pint Frigidaire dehumidifiers look nice and work well but have had very poor reliability in my experience. If Frigidaire keeps replacing them under warranty I'm happy but if they stop I will never buy this brand again.

Worst purchase of my life
I got at best 6 months of usage in totall (a few months of summer 2020 and 2021) and now the coils are freezing up. I had to call multiple times to get thru on the 800#, because if they're busy, they just terminate the call. Once I got in the queue, and waited on hold for 30 minutes, only to be told after 15 minutes or so on the phone, that they wouldn't do anything for me. All while a rooster crowed in the background. Seriously. Because it's about 1 month past the warranty period, Frigidaire will not repair or replace. It was a complete waste of money. I will never buy anything from Frigidaire again.

Frigidaire doesn't stand behind their own products
I purchased a Frigidaire 70 pint dehumidifier 2-year warranty that broke down. They replaced the unit with a 50 pint unit and a one year warranty. They claimed it was the 'new' 70 pint product. The new unit clearly states on the box that I need the largest unit they carry which is the 60 pint. I offered to pay the difference in price and they said they had no way of invoicing me. I asked for them to just give it to me and they refused. I will NEVER buy any Frigidaire product again. Its made by Electrolux. I wrote to the CEO of Electrolux and their Media Relations Director, neither responded.
