I feel like it was worth it
We just installed this on a very old uneven two story farmhouse floor. It seems to have added some sound dampening between floors. It appears to have less noise when walking over it than the old laminate with the cheap stuff. It seems to install easily. Can’t comment on insulating factor as it’s not really cold enough yet. Our living room is on bedrock and with -1 to -5 outside it is cool but not cold. On the side over a foundation it’s toasty warm. I’m very happy with how it turned out, would use again.
