Description

This Flex 24V brushless drywall cut out tool powers through the entire day with its exceptional runtime, being able to cut up to 150 outlet boxes with a single charge. Use its adjustable airflow exhaust to direct the dust away from your workspace and in the direction desired. This model's built-in LED light provides welcome illumination in dark conditions. It uses the Therma-Tech technology to provide 20% more power and 25% longer runtime, while ensuring proper heat management. This cut-out tool is also covered by a 5-year end-to-end warranty. Rated 5 out of 5 by fedcom from Handy Cutout Tool [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I now have a few Flex cordless tools and this addition is a must-have. I use it to cut out electrical outlets, door openings and trim rough corners. The notches in the spacer bracket help you make a straighter cut when you have nothing else to guide the bit. Something I haven’t seen in other cutout tools. The motor is powerful and spins fast enough to cut most things like butter. It’s super easy to change the bits since the key attaches to the tool. The built-in light is indispensable. Another really nice feature is the adjustable airflow with which you can direct the dust away from your cutting line. Overall another quality tool by Flex.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Maike from Easy to use, some design kinks [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Glad I read the instructions manual because there were definitely some features/buttons on this that I wouldn’t have known about. Love the wrench/storage slot at the bottom for changing out the big and collet nut. Wish there was a way to secure the depth guide better. It kept shifting while in usage. Thought the blowing direction selector was a great feature. But why is the belt clip only available on the left side of the tool? Seemed kind of strange. Also wish there was somewhere to store the bit when not in use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using my Flex drywall cut out tool for some projects around the house I had been putting off over the past few weeks. I really like how powerful and precise the tool is at cutting through the drywall. I’m able to cut even, straight lines effortlessly. The cut provides clean lines, which has been a difficult task for me with some previous tools I’ve used in the past. I also appreciate how easy to hold and fairly light weight the tools is. I will be using this on many more projects to come!

I had my doubts when I bought this thinking it was gonna be weak, this actually beats the pneumatic router I was given by the shop to do the job. this cuts through it effortlessly. My buddies have the Milwaukee version, theirs seem to have less vibration and is lighter but also less powerful and not as fast spindle speed. Also on a five amp hour battery my tool will last me almost a full day of continuous use. we build 21 RVs a day and my battery will run and complete 20 RVs before dying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ricky from Dewalt Replacement I just bought my drywall cutout tool by Dewalt but that air vent directional flow sold me and I returned the Dewalt. This Flex drywall cutout tool is a must have if you are a drywall guy. No doubt this is really the best drywall cutout tool.

It charges quickly and holds a charge for a long time. It is not too heavy and has some great features that make it easy to use. The LED helps me see better and the adjustable air flow exhaust keeps the dust away from me. It also has a convenient wrench holder built in which really makes the job easier. This is a quality product and I am very happy with it.

As a professional carpenter I work with drywall a lot. This router has a adjustable exhaust fan so no more shuffling the router to keep the dust out of your face, just flick the adjuster and the dust is elsewhere. I'm not sure as for if it rotates at a higher rate than others but it seemed too cutt faster and smoother than other brands I have used. Another great tool.
