Split medium to large logs efficiently with this Fiskars® X25 steel axe. Optimized power-to-weight ratio and a beveled, convex blade allow for powerful swinging, deep striking and easy removal from wood. Featuring a proprietary blade grinding technique, the hardened forged steel blade stays sharper for superior contact and clean cuts. The hatchet has an insert molded head for a durable design that prevents loosening or breaking with overstriking. The FiberComp® handle provides shock absorbtion, comfort and control.

What an Axe!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the best Axe I have, I am super amazed of the well build this this got. The sheath is super light and yet heavy duty, the shape makes it very comfortable to work with. The Axe is sharp and can cause a lot of damage to logs, I literally work less now in my yard than ever before. I have bunch of trees around my fence and you can imagine how much work I need to put to keep it controlled but I always have fun workin on my yard but even better now with this beast. I am super happy and satisfied and this opened a door for me to discover other tools from the brand.

Great Axe - Well Balanced
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Fiskars X25 28 inches Splitting Axe. This axe is perfect if you need to split logs quickly. This is a decent size axe that can handle even large logs. The weight distribution of this axe made swinging the axe a breeze. The handle is very comfortable in your hand and is constructed with materials that are nearly indestructible. The axe came with a blade cover that is perfect for storage. I find this keeps your axe sharper longer. Speaking of sharp, this axe comes pre-sharpened and you will NOT be disappointed. I highly recommend this Fiskars X25 Splitting Axe.

Good all round axe
I have never bought a New axe before, let alone spent this kind of money on one. BUT, i did and am impressed. The handle design makes for quick grab and control. The axe head design, with the added WEDGE design, makes splitting hard maple and hickory real easy. The overall weight is perfect. This axe comes with an elaborate head cover, watch out, it can be lost real easy. I am not a tall person and have always used a 36 inch handled axe, initally my splitting was awkward with this short length, but it all came together in a short time. I would recommend buying the 36 inch length for the taller people.Have had this axe about a month and have split a few cord of wood, we'll see in the long run, so far so good..

Great Durability!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this ax a month ago to help with outside maintenance and small pieces of firewood for my fireplace. We wanted a tool that was durable and reliable for our needs and this ax has succeeded! We have neem able to cut up some small tree limbs and branches from our trees in our yard. We have used the ax to help cut up some smaller pieces of wood for our firepit outside firepit and indoor fireplace. This ax is durable, reliable, and easy to handle and use. I am so happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone.

Well Balanced
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I moved into my first house back in 2015 and I've been missing one very basic, yet surprisingly still very useful too, the splitting axe. No more struggling with a chainsaw with smaller, quicky jobs where a quick swing of the axe will take care of it. I haven't used it extensively yet for splitting logs but I did a few to see how it did and I found it to be incredibly well balanced and a much less wear on the axe swinger than other axes I've used. Seems to be very well crafted and made with tough materials. 5 stars

Cut through wood like butter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been splitting wood for a long time and let me tell you, nothing comes close to the Fiskars X25 Splitting Axe (28"). With just one strike, you can split any log you are working with. I split large cherry wood and others. This baby slice through wood like butter. The polymer handle is lightweight and durable. This ax makes splitting wood fun. This tool will last you for a long time. After using it countless times, it split as if it’s the first time you use it. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Splits wood like a pro
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this axe a few weeks ago and have had the opportunity to use it a few times. It is awesome! It is very well made and considering what it is for it is very light. It is easy to swing and control, it does not vibrate up the shift upon impact and splits wood easily. I have roughly 2 foot logs and it took only 3 swings (really letting the axe do most of the work here mind you) to split the wood in two pieces. Will have lots of awesome campfires with this axe by my side.

My wood is scarred
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I could count how many times my wood pile would just sit there and mock me, saying "Look at me, I'm to big to fit in your fire place". Well guess what wood pile, there's a new sherif in town and his name is Fiskars. I marched right out to that pile with this beaut in hand and I could hear the laughter coming from the pile..... that is until I took the first swing of this mighty X25 axe. Suddenly the laughter fell silent and the fun began. I can happily say this axe has been invaluable to getting every last block of wood to a manageable size for my fire place. And boy is this thing tough! I never felt worried the head would slip off and it split with just a few swings every time. If Thor carried an Axe instead of a hammer, this would surely be the one.
