Sturdy and fits perfectly in my hands!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Fiskars - X11 Splitting Axe (17") about a month ago because I still heat my home with wood at times. I like to keep wood split and ready for easy access. This axe rests perfectly in my hands and the grip is so comfortable. I love how light it is and how easy it is to use without get tired easily. It is so durable and sturdy and very sharp. Splitting wood isn't an easy task, however, this axe definitely makes it's easier and more enjoyable. I also love that it cuts so beautifully. I highly recommend this axe to anyone looking for something comfortable and manageable.

Perfect size
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never owned a splitting axe before and it's amazing! It fits in my hand perfectly, is ergonomic. The handle is light and the axe is the perfect amount of weight to balance it out and give you a solid swing. The handle is shock absorbent so you don't get that vibration in your hand after a good split. It's very sharp and easy to remove from the wood if it gets stuck. It makes splitting wood very simple and easy to accurately hit the target spot for splitting. I like that it comes with a child proof lock. It's perfect for camping and makes a great addition to supplies needed for vacation trips in the woods.

I'm loving this!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This axe is a beast for the size! I've been using a hatchet to split small logs, but it's a lot easier now with the Fiskars X11. One strike is all it takes to split a log that's 6 inch in diameter. It is built very well, balanced, sharp and light enough to hold and swing with one hand. I use both hands though just to be able to exert more power with better precision. The handle is ergonomic and has a non slip grip. It also comes with a protective guard that can be locked with a switch, which is a nice feature. I can't wait to use it to split more logs!

Perfect size and handles great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hand axe is the perfect size to compliment my large wood splitter. It is not too large to carry around but yet it is heavy enough to split with ease. The handle is contoured to really get a good motion when splitting. The weight and the shape of the head make splitting comfortable and easy. The cover with the handle attached is a bonus. It makes it easy to carry and to hang up when not in use. I have many Fiskars tools that I really like and this one is no exception.

Excellent quality and durability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This splitting axe is exceptional with quality on both handle and axe head. Metal does not bruise easily and handle is lightweight allowing a proper swing. They say not to tap the back of the axe with a hammer but it doesn't hurt it if you do. Does need a tiny bit of sharpening though but can be used right off the shelf. The cover makes an excellent carrying handle and even let you put a lock on it for safety.

Light weight and easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you think all axes are equally capable, think again. This axe is incredible, lightweight, and surprisingly easy to use. The grip is well designed and easy to grip, while the blade is in perfect equilibrium allowing for a quick and easy swing. I cut 30 logs within a few minutes and the blade is still good as new. Very happy with this product and looking now for its bigger cousin for those large projects.

Sharp and ergonomic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this axe to split logs that I put into my smoker. This axe is very sharp and is the perfect size for the average user. I don't need a super heavy axe for what I am splitting. This axe is just heavy enough to get the job done, but not too heavy to where it wears you out quickly. It seems to be made very durable so I think that it will last a long time. It's a great tool to have in your arsenal.

Good axe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used a wooden axe. The shape is conducive for one handed strike. The butt lends to a good grip. Like that it comes with holes for wrist straps but wish it came with some strap. The axe is sharp and generates good splitting power. Compared to wooden axes there is a better fitment but experience more vibration with strikes. So far no issues with use.
