Description

Power through your projects with this Fiskars steel mallet. With its insulating collar, the patented IsoCore(TM) Shock Relief System significantly reduces vibration and absorbs shock. Made from forged, heat-treated steel with a rust-resistant coating, this durable mallet has an extra-large diameter head for better accuracy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Is it wrong that when I pick up the Fiskars - IsoCore 4 lb Club Hammer I imagine myself turning green and yelling "MUST SMASH" ! The pictures will tell a thousand words. The first pic is of an old actual concrete block not a cinder block. It was like smashing an ice cube. The last two you can see there is no perceptual damage to the face or the wedge. Like was stated not a lot of vibration through the handle. I can see this having a lot of uses and since it's a Fiskar product the quality is there.

Normally after several swings with my old 3lb hammer my wrists would start to bother me. With this 4lb hammer it does not seem to bother me nearly as much and works fantastic when knocking pins out of implements for the tractor or lining up connections. Also removing stubborn car parts that are rusted on. It makes you feel like you are wielding the power of those when removing stuck rotors during brake changes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaced an old wooden mini sledge that I had replaced the handle on at least 3 times in the past 20 years. I used to be against composite tool handles but after trying out first a hatchet and then a splitting axe I'm completely sold. I've had overstrikes and other accidents with my axes that would have left a wooden handle completely splintered and these things just keep on splitting! I expect no less from this hammer, it'll be the last one I need for the rest of my life.

Not only very functional and useful for many things, but the isoCore technology is very easily handled compared to other 4lb small sledge hammers. I would highly recommend getting one of these for any task needing a small sledge hammer or to just keep around the house. You will need it eventually and be glad you bought one.

It’s great as a “I need to hit this with something large and heavy” hammer but I’ve mainly been using it to bust up frozen water troughs as odd as it seems. Zero rust. Plenty of weight to the hammer to bust through 6” of ice or knock any and everything loose you put in it’s path. Love this thing.

It is top-heavy with most of its weight in the head of this hammer. It really breaks things up and smashes them. And the insulation sleeve in the handle reduces vibration on your hands and wrist. This hammer does not cause blisters even while using it all day. I highly recommend this club hammer.

The Fiskers name is becoming my go to for tools. The handle is so well designed and solid. It really dulls the impact on the handle after a strike. The head is perfectly balanced and the back of the hammer has the point that is very useful. Just using it around my shop now but I want to try some forging with it. Great product!!

I am happy I found this club hammer. It is well balanced giving me a good swing and contact. The handle feels strong and it comfortable to hold. One end is a regular flat end and the other is a rounded point. The 14 inch length is a good size for most jobs.
