Durable and powerful, this Firman portable generator features heavy-duty, flat-free tires and a durable yet compact roll-cage frame. Its large 8-gal. fuel tank provides an impressive 13 hours of runtime. The portable generator has a quiet Whisper Series muffler, and a long-lasting and low-maintenance engine that runs coolly and efficiently thanks to its Phoenix Fat Head Block. This generator includes six outlets and provides 7125 starting watts and 5700 running watts.

I have this unit.. it doesn’t have a idle speed .. rpm stays constant loaded or not.. is this normal? Haven’t really big load couple of tvs and lights
This is a basic generator and the output frequency of 60hz (cycles/sec) is directly related to the engine rpm so it has to run at a fixed governed speed. If you don't have a heavy load demand, a better choice would be an Inverter generator that combines a motor driven generator, a battery and an electronic inverter. These units will throttle back when demand is reduced as the battery/inverter maintain the required output power. They are readily available but the more expensive units have a pure sine wave output that is easier/safer for electronic devices. Honda makes one of the quietest units I have seen in service.

All the research I have done so far shows as of 2017 all generators must have a floating Neutral for the Generlink transfer switch. (canada). Is this true ? I found this. https://wattsource.ca/generlink-important-nb-update

Does this generator have idle control? Will it drop down to idle speed when no load is being called for or does it run at a constant speed?
Hi,
Yes P05706 has idle control, the RPMs increase as the load of the appliances are plugged and it has the Automatic Voltage Regulator to lock in voltages. Hope this helps.

And I ran the snot out of this thing and still do - runs my entire Deer Camp, Lake House and it's simply the best Gen I have even owned. Toughest, Best Gen I have ever owned
Had this gen 3 months - Live In Duncan's Cove, had a feeling it would be a rough Summer (No thanks to Dorian) and think we will have a long wet Winter - but we are ready - this Firman Gen oozes power - does everything we need and I've had 2 calls to their Customer Service team - they are great and ready to serve - could not be more pleased!!! Try it you will love it.

Excellent source of portable, reliable and stable power
Really pleased with how it well provides reliable, stable power for hours on end. It's been the main source of power at our construction site for over a year and a half, and has been a workhorse day in and day out through every season. Moreover, it flashes up on the first pull every time. And when I needed to replace the pull cord mechanism, customer service was excellent with no-hassle warranty coverage and immediate processing. Highly recommended. Only recommendations for improvement would be (1) employ larger, softer wheels for easier mobility, as it's pretty heavy when lugging around a rough construction site and (2) strive to reduce the loudness where possible; even though it's among the quietest gensets around I always wear earplugs to protect my hearing.

great generator
bought this a week ago and it has been able to run my whole house including 2 full size fridges and electric stove along with the lights and tvs/ stereos all at the same time. tons of power. only downside is that it is noisier than they claim it to be. top notch construction, and even how they pack the accessories is pro, and it comes with REAL wrenches to assemble it. i didn't even have to go to my tool box once to put it together.

Great generator
Easy to assemble, started right away. Only used it without problem for 5 hours, since i bought it (2 months), to feed one freezer two fridge and one TV.
