Will this power fridge, stove, furnace, sump pump and well jet pump? In other words the whole house?
I’ve never had to use mine yet, but from looking at all the reviews on the Ferman website for this model I would say it’s a definite yes. Just be careful to use the circuits necessary to be sure. On another note, I fire mine up monthly to test & it starts up instantly with the remote, I also keep a trickle charger on the battery. Had an electrician install a GenerLink on the meter for quick connect when needed. I don’t think you will have a problem with this generator when needed.

Product Overview "439Cc dual fuel engine with low oil shut off and cast iron sleeve". If gasoline is one fuel what is the second fuel? Propane? Natural gas?

Will it run a 1.8hp dewalt air compressor.
Most definitely. I am not sure on the amperage demand of your specific compressor, but that small of a compressor would be running off a 120V circuit, normally less than 15amp. 120V x 15A = 1800 watts. This guy can run 4-5 of your compressors.

Where is this generator manufactured?
It is manufactured in China like most others. But.... It is one of the best ones made there, and it gets high praise everywhere. It is built extremely well. I use mine regularly for running a 210amp MIG welder, and it works flawlessly.

Bought a cover for this unit. Can it be run with the cover on
Hi,
Do not run the generator with a cover. This can cause the generator to overheat. In addition these are air cooled generators that should be operated in an open area.
Hope this helps FIRMAN Friends

Can I plug my 50 amp RV into this generator without damaging the unit?
Hi FIRMAN offers a 14-50R 120V/240V - 50A outlet for your plug on this model. You should have no problems.

Will this supply 200 volt power to a panel if wired for directing power to the panel? Thanks
Yes. I have mine directly connected via transfer switch. I am very pleased with the operation!

how many db noise level
Not sure of the DB's , it is not any noisier than any other generator of the same size. Inverter types are much quieter but may not provide the same power as this unit does and thats what I needed was the 230 volt power, 40 amps.

Just what I was looking for
A few years ago I upgraded my service to the house to include a Generlink (which included a cable with a 50 amp plug on the end) - it sits between the hydro meter and the house and enables the direct feed from a generator to the electrical panel. The Generlink requires a minimum of 40 amps. I bought the 10000/8000 W, which has a 50 amp plug, plugged it in after it fired right up and it worked perfectly, including my well pump! Run time on a full tank was 13 hrs! Pretty satisfying. Reading the previous reviews played an important role in my decision to purchase this generator.

Perfection!
Bought this online at Lowes when it went on sale. It has everything I wanted (electric start, 10KW, NEMA 14-50R receptacle. Brought it home and assembled it in about 10 minutes. Just add the wheels, transport bar, connect the battery and add the oil. I did extensive research from all manufacturers (Briggs, Honda, Firman, Champion, Surge Master) from all major retailers (Princess, Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Costco) and this unit has the best cost per watt. Debated the dual fuel option, but decided on the gasser because I'm in town with Natural Gas. This will power the whole house (furnace, freezer, fridge, lights, Internet and the stove.) Very happy with the build quality. Solid frame and front panel. If you're looking to buy one this year, get this one.

60 hours and multiple problems
Two and a half months and 60 hours the unit burned all of it's oil. The remote is intermittent at best and the choke sticks in cold weather. 4 weeks now without a working generator and when they finally found a repair depot, it's likely 4 weeks more until I get an answer. Company doesn't answer their phone and takes days for a call back. Really wish I bought something else.

Won't start with switch or pull cord
I've had this for more than a year but it does not need to be used unless there's a power failure. So it has been started a few times. The electric starter is not working now and we have figured out it is a solenoid problem. Even knowing that the pull starter doesn't start it either. Pretty disappointing considering it still basically brand new and has maybe 10 hours running time. Firman did reply to help me troubleshoot the solenoid but now I have not had a reply for over a week. I can't use it, I can't have others start it for me when I am away, I can't fix it, and don't know what to do with an almost brand new useless machine. When the power goes out, all the fridge and freezer food will be ruined and we will sit in the dark.

Excellent quality for the money
Purchased the unit a year ago and i test it monthly. Turn the gas on, press the necessary on/off switch and then use either the remote control, manual starter or pull starter, starts first time every time. Haven't had to use it in an emergency yet but i'm ready. Because of the sheer size and weight of this type of generator i can't see anyone using it for camping or trying to move it around too much. This is strictly for your house or anywhere you can set it and only have to wheel it short distances on a flat stable surface.

Fantastic Piece of Equipment
I ordered this generator after the power went down again. I live in a rural area so I needed something reliable and easy to operate. Went together with no issues, added oil and fuel and it started up first push of the starter. It was considerably quieter than my Generac ever was. I'm actually looking forward to the power going off again, knowing that I will have the ease and power of this generator to see me through. I have a link system on the power coming into the house so connecting it is a breeze.

Excellent Home Generator
After doing a lot research on generators I picked the Firman for its run time on a tank of fuel, quietness, (not as quiet as an inverter but still better than most) 50 amp service and ease to start. The P08004, can run our acreage when line power is disrupted. let me first add that all lights are LED and we don't use the oven. We run two fridges, one deep freeze, natural gas furnace, TV and a heated water bowl for the horses without issues. Because the only time the power goes out is when the weather is terrible I have built a small shelter with ventilation to house the generator. It can be connected to the power grid for the acreage easily from there. I have added a battery trickle charger as well as a small wattage glue on heater to warm the engine oil so the unit will start when the weather is colder than -30 Celsius. I can's say enough about the Firman, it meets all my expectations and then some.
