Description

The Firman T04073 tri-fuel generator is a 5000-watt, 120/240-volt trifecta with the ability to run on gasoline, propane, and natural gas with an electric starting system. It includes a 5.5-foot LPG hose for convenience using larger tanks. Its 5-gallon tank runs for 12 hours at a low 67 dB. Our Max Pro Series 223 cc engine runs cool and efficient thanks to its Phoenix fat head block. With a built-in 9-inch wheel kit and folding handle, the tri-fuel T04073 can go anywhere and perform however you like. Includes a free cover, L5-30P to TT-30R adapter and L14-30P to 4x5-20R 3-foot cord with surge protection. Everything you need to get started is in the box including oil, funnel, operator's manual, quick start/stop Guide, and spark plug wrench.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ejeffe from Love the tri-fuel capability! I bought this unit for emergency power generation with the expectation of running heating/food storage/select lights. The output is certainly sufficient for that purpose. The primary reason for purchase was the tri-fuel capability (gasoline/propane/natural gas) which makes it very likely that I will have fuel options, even in the event of a large scale, longer term disruption. The unit is well packaged and documented, set up easily and started instantly providing power as expected in seconds at 118 VAC and seemingly pretty stable. Seems decently built.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KevDar from It works but with some issues I bought this generator as an emergency backup for my home. I tested it only once and it’s very loud when running even with no load. The lights in my house were flickering the entire time. My UPS units were clicking on and off so the power/voltage appears to be dirty. Use caution with electronics. After starting the furnace and then shutting it off the unit never seemed to regulate the voltage the way it was regulated prior to the furnace starting. I’m a bit worried about it. I don’t know if I received a broken unit or if this is normal. I’m never owned a generator before.

The tri-fuel optionality is unbeatable and switching between modes is simple. It came as described with easy to follow instructions, simple assembly, quality parts and plenty of power out of the box. I was able to run everything i needed. It can be connected to a generlink switch or send power through extension cords. A quality purchase. I would choose Firman again.

I bought it primarily because I could hook it up to my Natural Gas line used with my barbecue so I would not have to store propane or gasoline. However, I like the flexibility it offers if I ever need to use it elsewhere. Still have to install a kit to get power into the house (I bought a King Canada Generator Home Connection Kit) and buy a 50-foot 30Amp extension cord.
