Description

The Filtrete maximum allergen reduction air filters capture particles in order to contribute to a cleaner and fresher air throughout your house. Because the quality of the air you breathe in home is so important, this model has a high MPR rating of 1900, which means it will capture more microparticles from the air passing through it. To ensure optimal performance, you should change filters every 3 months. This product is very effective against microscopic particles such as smoke, sneeze debris, viruses, bacteria, and large particles like lint, household dust, and pollen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by hcee from Rescued I purchased this product because I needed a better furnace filter than I had been using. We started getting allergens in the air that the filters I had been using could not remove. My wife and I had difficulty breathing and we had burning and watering eyes. Since I needed a better filter immediately, I researched furnace filters on-line first. I settled on a 1900 rated Filtrete at Lowes. The caveat with these dense filters is the blower motor is taxed more and can burn out if it is not strong enough. In addition, these filters are expensive. In the store, I did not have any choice in brand selection. The Lowe's discount was helpful though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by homebody from Excellent high quality filtration The 1900 is excellent for removing dust and recommend it for open plan homes where cooking odors easily navigate into other living areas. I also noticed a dramatic difference in the frequency I needed to dust. However, I would not recommend this high quality filter to those who are not diligent in changing their home filter on schedule. This filter must be changed on schedule in order for the ac system to work effectively but it is well worth the investment. I also noticed that my electric bill decreased. Although I cannot make a direct link to the Filtrete 1900, I do think that it does help the system operate more efficiently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by porge from I was really amazed how much of a difference a good air filter will make as far as how good your furnace will run. My furnace atually mal-functioned as far as it wouldn't ignite the burners from what I assume was a clogged filter. A mistake on my part as I couldn't believe how much this filter actually caught and how quick it took. We do have a few cats and I assume between the litter dust and the cat hair the filter was a mess when I took it out. In just 3 months it seemed to be enough to cause this problem! It's amazing how much of a difference such a relatively inexpensive item can change the furnace's efficiency if not its function altogether!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wiper from Like 3M products This is a great filter. 3M now has one that is the Ultra Allergen 2400. I think if you get too high, you can cause problems with the furnace working too hard (so they say.) Spend the extra money and get the 1500 or 1900. They work great!

After a few weeks of use, pulled filter out & amazed to see what all it had picked (sucked)up. It was truly amazing. I have been using these filters for a year now, and would never use another kind again. I am an RN, and have recommended these spectacular filters to everyone I know. I do not know why I just found these filters a year ago. I can guarantee, for anyone to sample or use these filters for 6 months or more, will never go back to their old filters again!! My hat and backing definitely go to the Filtrete Company (3M) for their production of these filters.

Wherever we could get them at a good price, we purchase 'em by the case. After learning of my father's diagnosis of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), we started using Filtrete Air Filters. We noticed that the air quality in the entire house was different and my father was breathing easier. When we received service on our HVAC system, the technician said that "we must be changing our filters every week!" Needless to say, we'd rather spend a little more for better air quality than to pay for a new HVAC system.
