Description
These filters were designed to capture 90% of large allergens like pet dander and mould spores from the air passing through the filter. They're even effective against microscopic allergens like smog, dust, smoke, bacteria, and particles that may carry viruses. No unnecessary antimicrobial chemicals added to this model. Plus, the filtering material prevents the growth of bacteria, fungi, mildew, and mould in normal use. Each filter can last up to 3 months. This product complies to the American Lung Association Health House Indoor Air Quality Guidelines.

How About a 18x20x1 filter rated 1900?
I need a 18x20x1 1900 filter but Filtrete doesn't make one, settled for a 1500 but not satisfied. Found an Aerostar filter and an evaluating it, but would prefer Filterate for good quality control and honest rating assessment.

Reduced quality
For years I have been using these filters and they fit snug. Now 3M has reduced the size and now the filter is loose inside intake and each furnace start and stop the filter makes a noise from the suction pulling filter up when on then falls down when off. Disappointed with companies reducing product quality especially 3M. I have to use duct tape to hold filter in place which is 3M also and it used to stick better for years and now I have to use more tape to hold due to this product quality also reduced.

Extremely beneficial for my allergies
Upon advice from my doctor to purchase a better a/c filter, I researched and purchased two of these. We quickly noticed a difference in the air quality, my headaches and sneezing are much better now. I am allergic to dust mites and my cats dander - I am extremely impressed. When I clean, there is far less dust accumulated on surfaces in my house which is lovely. After changing the filter recently we found out why - this filter is blocking everything. So great! We are considering investing in higher grades of the Filtrete brand because this one has done so well.

Excellant Filter
I upgraded from the Allergant Protector (also a great filter) just to see if I could tell a difference. I can! The air seems cleaner and it gives me peace of mind knowing that it helps with bateria and viruses.
